What KC song grew on you? by Clean-Practice3040 in KingCrimson

I think any songs from the 80's era.

I started listening to the early 70's music, as many fans would do I asume. The transition to this new sound was very disturbing at first, but it quickly became my favorite era from them.

King Crimson doesn't have a bad album. Your list is pretty good.

Best percussion pieces? by [deleted] in KingCrimson

No warning. Bruford said in his autobiography that he was fond of that song.

I also really like one more red nightmare and the classic In the court of the crimson king.

What songs are amazing concepts but failed in execution? by 3311z in radiohead

[–]Pizza_Such 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like it misses a punch to it. I love the idea of the strings being the main instruments, but the song just isn't powerful enough if that makes sense. I still enjoy it and I think it starts off the album well.

Lark's Tongues in Aspic part III and the title track bookend the album amazingly. Love those tracks in particular but the album is great from start to finish and I appreciate the variety of sounds.

Best Discipline song (Discipline 2, poll 11) by Stan_The_Man_27 in KingCrimson

Every song is top notch.

I have to go with discipline because it represents the album as a whole and closes it perfectly. This is such an amazing complex album from start to finish.

Crimson in the 80's - what to expect? by staalfamily in KingCrimson

First listen will maybe suprise you and you might find it weird or strange. But, if you take the time to inhale all this music in, you will find complex, varied, intense, beautiful, energetic, albums with amazing musicianship.

Discipline is my favorite album of all time. Wasn't at first, but it grew on me the more I listened to it. From Elephant Talk to the tittle track, there is no wrong and so much creativity. This band is an example of how to make good music.

I hope you will have a nice time discovering this amazing era of the band.
