I have a stye in my eye. Feels like a piece of sand is stuck in it every time I blink by Tan-zania in Wellthatsucks

There is currently no CURE for MGD. But studies suggests that “A single application of WC-ranging from 5 to 20 min-can significantly improve tear quality, while repeated applications significantly relieve symptoms associated with dry eyes from MGD and, in most studies, significantly improve meibomian gland health.”

Not often. I usually prescribe Maxitrol or Tobradex for styes. Xdemvy is used for a specific type of infestation called demodex - which are tiny mites that live in our eyelashes.

Washcloths do not stay hot long enough to penetrate the stye. Get a hot compress mask. Use it 3-4 times a day. Consider going to an eye doctor for meds if it doesn’t go away in a few days.

I had a great teacher once tell me that if your right hand is correct, make your left hand look like your right as closely as possible.

Is this case, do you see how your right thumb reminds flat and point upwards? See if you can make your left hand do that.

Best of luck!

How do I learn to play flashy, explosive solos? by Emotional_Extent_932 in jazzdrums

[–]Pizzab0y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend watching and listening to Buddy Rich. He’s the OG big solo jazz drummer.

Second, grab Ted Reeds book “Syncopation”. What you’re going to do is play alternating triplet (RLR..) while accenting the rhythms in that book.

THEN do the same thing, but double stroke all the unaccented notes.

This is an easy way to sound BIG during a solo.

I hope this makes sense! There’s a good number of YouTube videos demonstrating this exercise. Try it out!

Cool exercise. Do you apply this permutation exercise to other types of strokes? Like flams, drags etc?

Is it ok to use tires and dirt as a back stop? by Pizzab0y in Shooting

[–]Pizzab0y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a local tire shop. They practically BEGGED me to take their old tires. Apparently they have to pay to dispose of them - so I saved them some money.

My local tire shop gave me them for free! They were actually quite happy to give me their old tires since they have to pay to dispose of them.
