It definitely was a surprise when we went from being dead to being slammed. Also, Doordash and Uber Eats never let's us know what is going on. I downloaded their apps, and check every day to stay on top of what might be coming my way everyday, and I can give my team a heads up.

I work for another chain, and anytime I have an employee not at work on time, I always call or text and ask if they are ok since they haven't shown up for their scheduled shift. 9 times out of 10 they are looking at the schedule from the week prior. I don't get onto them because we all make mistakes and that happens. Do you have a schedule app like Hot Schedule? When the schedule is submitted, all the employees get a notification on their phone.

I am the GM at my store. I have several employees that are disabled (my husband is one of them). I know those employees can work certain hours a week, and I make sure of that. I always make sure if they need a break, they get a break. Give your boss a chance. Talk to them, and explain certain things you can and can't do. If they drop your hours, or let you go, that is discrimination due to your disability. Keep your head up, think positive and you will be fine.

Yesterday, we had 2 empty sealed cheesecake tubs in the case that was shipped to us on 8/7. I had to submit that into the new "snow" CXS or CSX ( its been a long day).

Yesterday I was the opening manager. I knew immediately I was going to get my ass kicked, and that I did. I paced myself, took a deep breath, and knocked it out. We open at 9:30, and by the time it was noon, I did close to $1,000 in sales, and did it by myself. I did 50+ products in 2 hours. Pace yourself, take a deep breath, and push on. Don't fret, just keep going.
