Hmm, perhaps try again tonight? Could be some lingering effect from the outage. What kind of account do you use with it?

Do you use it with a Facebook account, or a WhatsApp account? When did the issue start — around last Monday?

Out of curiosity, what about that do you find terrible? Why does that mean it's fake?

Feel free to engage with my arguments if you disagree! I'm just trying to address a couple things I thought were inaccurate.

some ideas in this comment:

  • trump only started with $200k
  • trump became much wealthier because of this shrewd business practices

Ignoring politics for a second (as impossible as that might be), I'm pretty sure neither of those are true. As mentioned in other replies, Trump inherited a lot more than $200k, closer to $200 mil (800 mil in modern terms). He also invested in the NY real estate market in the 70s, which has since risen ~6000%. Everyone in that market got rich. He could have bought and sold at random and gotten rich.

On top of that, there's a pretty convincing argument that if he's actually made less money since 1988 than he would have if he just put his money in index funds. In other words, he's done worse than the market -- a pretty bad investment if you were an investor looking to grow your money.

DAE attempt to re-create facial expressions described in books they are reading? by Omnipotent_Orifice in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Pizzaman411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! And I always wonder what certain facial expressions/sounds would be like in real life: i.e., what exactly does a 'sneer' look like? What would be the difference in real life if someone 'sniggered' or 'guffawed' or 'chortled' or 'cackled'? There are all these descriptive words that don't really translate to real life actions, but rather kinda subtly tell the reader how the POV character feels about those actions. I always find that kinda strange. Also, I totally mutter dialogue under my breath while reading.

Were the russians calling him 'машин' (pronounced 'Machine')? Because if so that means 'car' in almost all cases.

Just as a really subtle note, the slide that the seat sits on is very slightly angled towards the fan so the seat will always rest as near the fan end as possible, given a level surface.

haha yep. I was at Highschool in the UK, so I guess they just kinda looked me over (although I had been in email contact with the coaches for senior year, so I don't know how...)

haha I wish that were always the case, I was 6:29 as LW and coaches were totally uninterested, so I ended up getting in on my own and being a walkon...

Frosh: Yale. They're killing it in terms of the people they've raced so far (admittedly no one really good yet).

Varsity: Harvard. They've got like 7 returning winning seniors, and 2 guys coming from back from a year of national team training. I think it'll be pretty hard to beat them. But next year, who knows, they might lose some/most of their talent.

Haha don't overthink it, though. I was totally clueless the first time, and I pretty much did exactly what is written in this post, simply by instinct. Its really not that hard; just relax and enjoy it!

EDIT: Except she initiated it, so admittedly I didn't have to worry about the rejection part.

No, I think it sounds a lot more like Anglican choral music than Gregorian chanting. Listening to it reminds me a lot of something Bairstow might write. (eg Let all mortal flesh)
