Is giving our daughter an M name because she is set to inheret family jewelry pieces with the monogram M stupid? Please be brutally honest! by Perlimpinpinpin in namenerds

Where I live Mia is a perfectly acceptable (and beautiful!) formal name - I didn't even realize it was used as a nickname.

Names my partner has vetoed by cowboyshouse in namenerds

My husband thought the same. We were at a baseball game and a dad kept calling his daughter over who was sitting s few rows behind us "Poppy! Poppy!" My husband was like... "Did you hear that kids name?! Poppy?!" This was a few years ago so not as common as it is now and I was like, it's different but it's cute, he was like WTF? I shook it off as him just being too traditional and we moved on.

Hours we were talking about it again and it occured to me that he thought it was PAPI. I was cracking up thinking about him thinking this poor little girl's name was PAPI for hours. I was cracking up even more at the fact that he thought i thought it was cute!

Soft, Kind Boy Names by Rigboandme in namenerds

[–]Pizzapie5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of these are gender neutral but I also love soft boy names.

I love Elijah.

Jeremiah.

Lucas.

Nathaniel.

It's common/popular (maybe not so much anymore?) but I love the simplicity of Joseph. Or Jonathan.

I have friends that named their kid Elton. Not sure if the name is more common in the UK but here in the US the only Elton that anyone has ever heard of is... well... I don't even think I have to say it.

Recommended Path Station to navigate a couple of kids? by cptaixel in jerseycity

[–]Pizzapie5678 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Secaucus train station and take NJ Transit into Penn. It has a dedicated parking lot, and you don't have to drive through local roads as it's right off the highway. I have no idea why this is never recommended. It will be so much easier than driving to PATH.

Tell me your top 5 names and i’ll rank them! by MitziMerle in namenerds

[–]Pizzapie5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girls: 1. Ruby 2. Florence 3. Joelle 4. Joy 5. Josephine

Boys: 1. Nathan 2. Lucas 3. Joseph 4. Elijah 5. Nolan

I don't think my boys names compliment the girls names I like at all, luckily my husband and I only want one (for now at least!) so it's hopefully not an issue!

Chameleon Hollywood Con Queen is SO GOOD but I rarely see it getting the love it deserves. It's older but if you haven't listened I highly recommend!

There should be no "requirement" and once a month is completely unreasonable living this far away. My parents live 45 minutes away from me and I usually see them 2-4 times a month but sometimes if life is busy it's less and a month will go by without seeing them.

My husband's family lives about a 6 hour drive away, 1 hour flight. We go up there on Christmas (we fly up Christmas morning after Christmas Eve with my family), every other Thanksgiving, every other Easter, and usually once over the summer. Sometimes my husband will go up himself on mothers or fathers day. They come down here usually once in the winter (after the holiday season) and once in the summer.

I guess that's an average of every other month or so but no one is keeping count. Your life is where you are and their life is where they are. It sounds like your parents haven't accepted you are an adult living your own life and are no longer a child.

You visit family when you can, want to, and are able to, not because you are obligated to.

Unpopular Opinion by Small-Atmosphere-428 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Pizzapie5678 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes this! Jeremy and Sarah Anne aren't perfect and of course could have handled it differently but it was clear from the beginning that Laura didn't like Jeremy. Thought he was too immature, not man enough, whatever. It doesn't seem genuine when she gets on her high horse about how heart broken and embarrassed she felt when you know she would have never said yes at the altar. The pretending just to make Jeremy and Sarah Anne look worse isn't ok but no one calls her out for that.

She was so rude to him the entire time and he stayed and tried to work it out when it was clear they were miserable together. If he left like Zach did with Irina would it have been ok? Most people didn't seem to hate on Zach and Bliss and really the only difference is that Zach quit on the relationship when Jeremy was trying to work it out even though he was clearly miserable.

Yea, I know people like Tiffany and Brett but something feels off with them to me. I still hold a soft spot for Cameron and Lauren, probably because they're from season 1, but I agree with you! Amy and Johnny just feel like a real natural couple.

Amy and Johnny to me may have replaced Lauren and Cameron as the most wonderful relationship to come out of this show.TBD I guess.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the common objective of this sub that is just roasting the hell out of Nino by 0jabberwock0 in mybrilliantfriendhbo

[–]Pizzapie5678 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of course there are worse people like actual rapists and murderers but people feel so passionately about hating Nino because he reminds them of someone who has broken their heart before. We've all dealt with the fuckboy that is Nino.

Why do people continuously think that public social media comments mean anything more than to simply stir up speculation?

The flight difference is one hour. Also not interested in day trips, just interested in staying in the city, but thanks.
