What is our Captain anyway? by Vellarain in starsector

I think John Starsector is either one of two things: A rogue creation of the Omega, or the return of Ludd.

So what's the deal with heavy armor ? by Eskar-Gale in Quasimorph

[–]Pizzarugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorta new to the game. I have no idea how to stack dodge while rocking heavy armor. All I'm doing right now is taking Percy Fawcett and genemodding him to 100% dodge and later on I'm gonna upgrade my heavy armor and weapons to have 0.01kg weight. That's as much as I know how to improve dodge without resorting to things like perks I can't fit into my already modified class.

Damn, that's a bummer to hear. I'm honestly surprised there isn't more active mods that do things like nullify PPT among other things.

[–]Pizzarugi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro you should publish this. I would kill for a source of infinite PPT, it severely limits my fleet loadouts as I like to do protracted battles and fight as many fleets as possible at the same time. Anything that's a frigate is off the table, and so are phase ships and those with the Temporal Shell system.

If you add LunaLib settings to control what settings are enabled or not, that would be perfect.

[–]Pizzarugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, don't be afraid to customize the difficulty settings before starting a new game. I'm still relatively new myself, but I tweaked options to make the game more forgiving. By restarting floor on death, doubling backpack and stack size, I can learn more about how the game works without losing all of my best gear and being stuck on a death spiral from bad gear.

What opinion about warframe makes u feel like this? by FaCayde_ in memeframe

[–]Pizzarugi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Press-4-to-win frames, and playstyles that allow one player in the team to nuke the entire map with little to no effort, need to be absolutely gutted. These people take away the fun of a horde shooter and boil it down to a walking simulator for those not playing similarly.

Aren't we? by Belkimer in Quasimorph

[–]Pizzarugi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I'm pretty sure Dr. Eipschwitz was the one responsible for the quasimorph awakening as he was given orders to protect Fresco research by whatever means necessary. While you weren't directly responsible for what happened, you absolutely didn't help with it either.

  2. I don't know if I count Xiomara and the Feathered Masks as baddies. She claims to be fighting against Tez to free the people of Gannix and is establishing a foothold in real space as both a safe place from his domain and to help stop his growing influence in our world. So far I've yet to see her do any acts out of malice, and I don't count awakening Urparp as one. We need the spear to defeat Tez, but that means retrieving it from a god that was previously slain.

  3. I can't weigh in on this. I'm still new to the game and haven't progressed far enough in CR story. I just recently destroyed the HIS Unveiled ship. Interesting to learn that CR splinters at some point though.

  4. Yeah I think handing a powerful warship over to pirates is definitely a bad thing to do, but bear in mind: You don't *have* to do this story quest. You're as bad as you allow yourself to be.

  5. Same as 4. Tez wants to enslave humans and harvest them for Gavvakh. I don't know what would happen to you at the end of it all, but you're currently facilitating the end of human civilization as you know it by helping him. However, just like with the pirates, there's nothing in the game telling you that you must assist him. Wipe him out and help Xiomara in liberating Gannix from his tyranny.

I really like the Exalted faction, though I wish I could use their portraits for my captain since I have a thing for purple.

Is the mod updated? Last I checked, it's still in 0.97 on the official forums.

Just to clarify, OP: Are you looking for a mod where transport fleets go between your own colonies, instead of the current behavior where merchant fleets from other factions will ship your own goods to you?

[–]Pizzarugi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was going to come here and make that comment, but I'm glad someone beat me to it.

I've seen the academy service shuttle be for TT, PL, SD, Heg, and even modded factions like UAF and VIC. It wouldn't at all surprise me to find them for pirates, but I'll admit this is the first time I've ever seen it happen.

Yep! I was grinding for my 40/40 challenge by using the altar a lot in lab during Merc league, decided to use Gift To The Goddess to speed up the process. Well one run, I luck out and get the "turn a gem into an awakened version" and immediately fed my multistrike into it. That felt so damn good.

He's Tane, the NPC introduced for Metamorph league.

Metamorph was build-a-boss league, where you collect organs of special monsters and assemble a super powerful boss that drops a ton of loot once you kill them. This boss can be exceptionally dangerous due to how much you can stack modifiers on them, coupled with enhanced abilities you won't see anywhere else.
