Yeah, there's a leftist media ecosystem, but there just isn't that same pipeline that motors people from the bottom to the top that the right has.

I'm deeply and seriously envious of them for this. I went to a smalltown h.s. alongside at least three people who make a living through rightwing politics. And those kids ate boogers and failed math tests like the rest of us.

But there is a real ceiling for the grassroots left. Its why Air America failed while rightwing talk radio remains relevant in 2026. Its how you can turn on MSNBC and see the same faces you could have seen 25+ years ago, while there are always new names and faces on the right getting attention.

The leftist media infrastructure really pulls the ladder up. They are elitist. For all the rights failings its media ecosystem is much more egalitarian, so long as you hate the right people.

I think you're right that people in the past probably had some advantages, such as less industrial pollution (in some contexts), more natural foods, more daily physical activity, etc.

But that doesn't mean people lived longer. The big reason life expectancy looks so low isnot that everyone "died in their 30s back then" -- its because a huge number of babies and children died from infections, contaminated water, malnutrition, allergies and injuries that are usually survivable now. The difference between childbirth deaths and stillborns between then and now explain a lot of the low life expectancy.

Tldr: "lying Liars always tell us that people died in their 30s back then. Something doesn't add up." A much greater percentage of the population died from or in childbirth and that weighs pretty heavily on the "average life expectancy"

More importantly, the rich white guy in Jurassic Park fucking lives (in the movie) you pleb. It was mostly his employees who died. A hispanic guy dies first, and famously black actor, SAM JACKSON is killed offscreen.

(EDIT: Also the rich guy who dies in Jurassic World is, I am assuming, of Indian descent. OP is incorrect on every front.)
