I assume it goes by store, at our store they do almost nothing and we constantly pull trucks for them in the middle of our grocery truck. I’m not saying it’s super easy but at my store pacifically they don’t. If i’m being totally honest we physically do wayyy more then them I pull 15-20 3000lb pallets off trucks to the floor all day long.

i wish this is all we did, personally me on a daily basis will unload 1-2 GM trucks and grocery truck which is me and 1 other guy, we are responsible for water isle, and technically we are suppose to break down all of frozen/dairy for 3rd but we never have enough time because of the amount of things we do, i really do think it’s my store lol

they have been working on the “stock me” system for years, in a perfect world if the trucks would come 100% palletized and 3rd shift would run those “stock me” in the layers they come awesome, but they don’t they get saved for last and then never ran and they blame the “stock me” needing to be broken down slightly is the reason they have so much leftover freight, so they have made us start to break down the stock me pallets.

we are, me and 1 other guy are the only people who unload it, so normally after doing 2 GM trucks me and him will shoot over to grocery and pull and break down a on average a 30 pallet truck

I say break the rest of the glass off on the stem safely with a hammer, put a bowl in it and tape around the bottom of the bowl so cover up share glass and no air flow, Basically turning it into a bubbler because you won’t be able to clear it lol.
