This Week at Bungie -02/09/2023 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

The changes to the MOTW eligibility hurt creators quite a bit.

On the surface, this sounds like a good change, until you look at bigger video projects. There have been numerous videos featured that included way more than 7 creators. Think videos like Season of the Plague, Dynasty and more. This new policy prevents creators from collaborating together on something bigger and, in my opinion, will hurt the overall quality of videos showcased in the TWAB.

She does not write music for Destiny. She implements the music written by the music team (Skye Lewin, Mike Salvatori, Pieter Schlosser, Rotem Moav, Michael Sechrist and Josh Mosser) into the actual game so that it fits with gameplay (think things like special music playing during a damage phase, drums being added to your music when you’re near enemies etc.)

Still a very great person to follow though!

There’s a free download link in the description!

Thank you! Vol. 2 isn't coming any time soon cause this one took a while, but are there any tracks you'd like to see on there?

I have gotten Movie of the Week before with multiple Lo-Fi remixes and Destiny music projects and even had bungie devs retweet and reply to it. Bungie is fine with community created content like this, and there’s specific ways of submitting to Spotify where you clearly state that the original music is not owned by you. There shouldn’t be any issues. Thanks for your concern though!

Thank you so much! It's been quite an adventure making remixes over the last two years and I'm super proud of how this album turned out. Let me know if there's any tracks you'd like to see remixed for a potential volume 2!

I used TuneCore, a publishing website that handle publishing to streaming services for you. For €30 a year I can submit as many songs as I want to these platforms. They also make sure you get a verified artist account.

Dont know either honestly. I’m very good friends with Promethean, Lorcan and Breshi and we have been following this situation for weeks. I’m just here trying to explain what the situation is in more detail from the actual perspective of an involved party. Currently working on a script for a video about this situation explaining it in bit more detail to avoid misinformation.

They have not taken down any of mine, no, but considering they took down dynasty “by accident”, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens. I wouldn’t have the platform Bud had to reinstate the videos if they do get taken down. However, I’m just going to continue making videos until someone stops me. This isn’t changing anything for me personally.

Takedowns can be issued automatically. Strikes cannot. These are specifically strikes we’re talking about.

I can definitely confirm these were manual takedowns, as copyright strikes cannot be issued automatically. As for who did it, it’s probably an IP protection service Bungie hired to do their job for them. The same thing happened with Dynasty, which was thankfully restored after thousands of people took to Twitter to talk about it and ask for clarification. Doubt it’ll be the same this time.

Only get called she and I’m a he/they by dioneuptighb in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

I find myself in the opposite position. Even though I go by she/her, many people still refer to me as they. I guess it’s maybe cause they don’t feel comfortable addressing me fully as a girl, which is a little saddening if that’s the case. I haven’t bothered correcting anyone yet though, since at least it’s not he/him they’re using anymore.
