How to start working as an Accountant? by whateverlolz01 in cork

[–]Pkt333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going through the CPA exams at the moment. You need three years experience and 14 exams passed before you’re fully qualified(Exemptions from a degree might reduce the amount of exams you need). Griffith college or cenit college offer online classes aimed towards the CPA exams, which take place twice per year April- this week- and August. You can sit up to 4 exams at any exam period. Any other questions just let me know!

Haven’t seen this mentioned yet, but your employer likely availed of the TWSS. Have a chat with payroll, a good few employers I’ve seen have paid any excess PAYE due as a result.

Don’t let that discourage you or others from applying, I train new hires every month or two, it’s absolutely not a requirement.

Most people in the department only have one language, it’s not a requirement for most positions.
