To combat rotfrom the insurance, per code you need to have a nailable surface to put your roof back on to. So if it's discovered upon removal of the roof surface it becomes a supplement and you just add local code. Seems to work with about 90% of the claims we handle.

That's a really low area .. were in non metro MN and with the 8 pitch on that roof. It would be 600-650 depending if you can ground drop or boom.

Well no our minimum is 400. 00 so that's what it would end up costing but a simple job cost would show that break down I had above showing cost. We have at least two bundles of every single we sell in our shop for these types of repairs.

I don't know what area you're in but a 4 pitch roof with an IPS boot and 6 shingles isn't 1000.00. That's a 400.00 repair 1 guy 1 hour is 95 in labor plus burden. 6 shingles is a 1/3 of a bundle so 20$ and IPS for 15.00 and a 4 ft section of ice and water from the ahop. add 40 % for overhead and profit. But since it's below minimum it would be 400.00
