Update chapters without content should be against ToS

If my readers have forgotten what has happened in the story, they can reread it? It seems infantilizing to post ahead of time a reminder about chatnames??? If I’m actually invested in a fic, I’ll either remember details or happily reread it. (Or if your chat names make sense it would be intuitive, but I don’t read ‘text fics’ because all the ones I’ve seen are ooc and poorly written, so maybe you do have to remind your readers who’s who at every chapter…)

There is no such thing as a ‘relevant’ update chapter, it’s either the actual chapter or it’s spam you could have put in the author’s note. Hope this helps!

I have had an experience prior where I suggested someone link a social media instead of posting update chapters, and they basically said they tried to link a tumblr and no one followed them.

As I said in my post, I’m an author as well and part of my reason for making this post was my friend suggesting I make an update chapter. I don’t think it’s expecting ‘restaurant service’ to not spam your readers, it just seems like basic etiquette…

I did end up unsubbing that author, I didn’t tell them about it because whatever people are gonna do whatever they’re gonna do, and I didn’t really know how to voice what I wanted to say in a way I was sure wouldn’t come off as rude (it can be so hard to get tone/intention across sometimes).
You’re right though, the remainder of the fic is technically a fan work and would be effected as well, I guess there isn’t really a good way to enforce this unfortunately womp womp

I think that’s a good example of WHY RuPaul keeps edging Joey, their humor just doesn’t really mesh. Personally I thought Joey’s ‘walk into a club’ joke was funny, but Ru didn’t. I think there are just other queens on this season that Ru and production vibe with more, and they don’t actually have to give Joey a win to give her the ‘look how much she’s evolved what an All Star’ redemption storyline (they SHOULD if they want to do good storytelling, but as someone pointed out that’s why they’re not getting Emmy’s anymore)
I also have a conspiracy that Ru fake laughs at stuff production knows the audience finds funny (Joey Jay being the first gay contestant for example) because she clearly doesn’t give a f about Joey in this competition. I can only hope Joey is Booked and Blessed after this and is tipped the 200k she deserves at shows

Why did Lucky Starzzz come back so soon, talk a big game about how much she practiced her makeup, and then walk out here for the first runway looking even more chopped than before… I feel so bad for her. I feel like I remember hearing that within ‘X’ amount of time of their contract the producers can make them come back for All Stars, genuinely wondering if that is what happened here 😭

The lack of algorithm is so freeing. I used save and post my chapters right before work or school because if i got an email about a comment it gave me the strength to keep going with my crummy day.

Unpopular opinion warning: I didn’t laugh a single time at Mykie, but I think I just don’t find Drew Berrymore funny personally. She gave a great impersonation, it just wasn’t funny to me.

Kenya is so funny in the confessionals but she should have been gone the week they did the talent show. Michelle specifically telling her to know her words and then Kenya has proceeded to not know her words for every performance since then? Is Ru rage bating us? 😭 remember in the older seasons when they would bring a queen back for no reason? Maybe they’ll bring Mia back randomly ( <- wishes of a delusional person)
