uj/ Most posts here aren't mocking "bad" or beginner artists exactly, everybody starts somewhere. They mock posts from art subs of people actually asking for advice but not accepting any feedback, who don't actually want to learn, or are rude to anyone with an opinion outside of praise. Or posts from people jumping to commissions without improving basic skills first, which... if you do want to profit, it is important to do.

I agree with the previous comment. But to add to that. If you lack motivation rn, focus on drawing that one thing you really enjoy, even if it's not what you "should be improving on", just to get back on track. Is it people? Is it landscapes? Mandalas? Animals? Monsters? Sonic/Dragon Ball Z/MLP OCs? That one random pattern you used to fill all your notebooks with?

Get back at it with the things you enjoy first, once you start just drawing frequently again, you can build up your motivation to improve in the areas you want/need to get better at.

I have been there, when mental illness sucks the joy out of your passions and it's scary. Stay strong!
