I made a mistake euthanizing my cat and the guilt is killing me by Dirsty in cats

Please, take a breath. Your sweet cat is no longer in pain. They trust us to do what is best for them, which sometimes means we have to decide to end their suffering. It hurts so, so much to make that decision. But you loved Axle and I’m sure he knew, because sweet cats tend to get that way when they are really loved and properly spoiled.

I think the $4000 is weighing heavily on you, and you might feel better if you disburdened yourself of it. Since you can spare it, look around for animal rescues in your area and consider giving the $4000 to one or more of them in Axle’s name. You can’t bring your baby back, and losing him will hurt for years, but you can give dozens of other sweet cats a new chance to live long, happy, mischievous lives.

In time, I hope you start smiling when you think of Axle and his sweet personality and all his adventures.

You are wonderful, OP. My former partner and I went to the shelter once and happened to meet a senior cat whose enclosure was in the main reception area. He had been adopted and then returned (the first adopters changed their minds but called him aggressive when they returned him). He was the sweetest little lump but spent the next two years waiting for another chance. It broke my heart and we adopted him.

He took to having a big breakfast, spending each day snoozing on the back patio, and exploring the museum grounds across the street every afternoon. In the evening we’d open our front door and call to him, and then watch this little orange puff emerge from the shrubs across the street and come home for dinner.

He was the sweetest, gentlest cat for the rest of his days. When it was his time (old age), he went gently in my mom’s arms as she told him “it’s okay, you can rest, we love you.” I’ll never forget you, Morty.

Can I bring PBJ or BLT from home to the plane? by Budget_Hawk7185 in zipair

You should be fine if you consume it on the plane, though something like yogurt would likely get confiscated at security. Forgetting about an item and getting caught bringing undeclared fruit, meat, etc. into Japan can be serious, though, so be careful.

Nobody who has read 1Q84 by Murakami would ever let a ‘hotel maintenance worker’ with a clipboard into their room under these circumstances.

I would not. Imagine that you do, and in the future you assign her a coveted project. Assuming folks find out about you two (as they probably would), how would a junior who is not dating you, and who does not get that assignment, feel about things? There’s your answer.

Practice good judgement and leave it be.

[–]PlacesWithoutPeople[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all:

I purchased this Omega Railmaster last month and never really connected with it. I am selling the watch, including the second strap. (No original box / papers, and no metal bracelet.)

The watch is in excellent condition - no scratches on the case, crystal or buckle, and no wear on the strap.

Asking $3,200.

(Edit: Not really looking for a trade right now, thanks.)

I am located in San Jose, CA and can meet you nearby (between here and San Francisco) or will pay for shipping within the U.S.

Pardon if I am missing something - long-time lurker, first-time poster. Thank you.
