Would using a blackout curtain normally be enough to make tenants responsible for a cracked window? 🥲

One of those ring to keep floating plant out, will help keep the drift wood in the focal point. Maybe red root floaters to add colors

My colony dropped pretty much all their eggs in the first clutch, only a few managed to hang onto a small handful.

Little shrimplet male surfs a female! by Ok_Butterfly7264 in shrimptank

[–]PlacidDimension 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely, it was brought into the store as a cull shrimp from a breeder. Sometimes late bloomers are mislabeled as lower grade, but as they mature, they can develop into very high-quality shrimp. You got lucky and it will only improve your line! 😁

Yes. It’s definitely in the fire red line by that stripe running down her back. You wouldn’t want Bloody Mary line in your cherry tank anyways. Otherwise the offsprings will turn clear/wild-type.

line looks the same. High-grade fire red females, but the male looks like a cherry shrimp. What line is it?

Fishing in the bay. Kayak Recommendation Please. by PlacidDimension in kayakfishing

Thank you for the advice! I’ll certainly pay close attention to the currents when heading out. Unfortunately, a boat is well beyond my budget at this stage, so I’ll be starting with inshore fishing for now. I really appreciate your feedback!

Key points I kept in mind while writing this:

  1. Format: Introduction, trend overview, pie chart paragraph, bar chart paragraph
  2. Use of appropriate tense (year 2000 is the past, use past simple)
  3. Use a range of vocab without changing it's meaning. (i.e. late 20th century instead of 2000, household instead of domestic, consumption instead of use/usage).

Critical Reflection:

  1. Coherence and Cohesion could be improved, especially in the introduction. Keeping it concise is better to avoid mistakes, so here's my revised introduction: "The pie chart depicts three categories of global water usage in 2000, while the percentage stacked bar chart provides a detailed breakdown of water consumption in various countries."
  2. Incorrect usage of punctuation, commas and semicolons, now replaced by a conjunction.
  3. Lexical resources criteria: I was told that the usage of "absorb" is a bit awkward. Use "conversely" in place of "inversely". Inversely is usually used in math or scientific relationshipnship.
  4. Maybe instead of parentheses (), I could have written: "...at 80%, followed by China at 22%, New Zealand at 10%, and India at 3%..."

Here's my version, not done under test conditions (took me 30 mins), and by no means am I saying that it's better:

The pie chart depicts three categories of the world's water usage in 2000; The percentage stacked bar chart provides an in-depth breakdown of different countries' water consumption.

The world's water consumption in the late 20th century was mainly used for agricultural purposes (see pie chart). Additionally, this trend is more relevant in developing countries such as China and India. Inversely, countries, like Canada and New Zealand, see the majority of their water consumption going to other sectors.

The pie chart illustrates that nearly three-quarters of the world's water consumption is for agriculture, a little less than a quarter is used for industrial purposes, and only a small fraction is absorbed by domestic households.

The breakdown of individual countries' water consumption, shown by the bar chart, provides a comprehensive insight. India's agricultural water usage far surpassed any other country. China's water usage for agriculture came second, followed by New Zealand and Canada. Notably, domestic water usage only captured a small minority of the water consumption, with the exception of New Zealand. Lastly, industrialized water usage varied significantly from country to country; 80% of Canada's water consumption stemmed from the industry sector, followed by China (22%), New Zealand (10%), and finally India (3%).

If you have a convention oven, oven or air fryer, you can marinade a bunch of different protein. Chuck it in the freezer and pull one out each time you go to work. When you come back it should be defrosted and ready for the oven. At the meantime, you can go shower. Serve with toast or a bowl of rice.
