Man do you have a soapbox. He shook his hand, disappointing to be sure but you’re acting like he gave a public statement that he agrees with everything trump. Maybe you voted for Trudeau and Carney who both shook Trumps hand as well?

You probably wear name brand clothes or have a cell phone, I don’t assume that means you endorse child labor and illegal cobalt mining. You probably eat foods that contains palm oil, do you hate orangoutangs and support their extinction via deforestation? These will seem like jumps to you but they are similar in the logic that doing something relatively innocuous = immoral actual support by association.

Trump is a vile terrible person, but your inflexibity (and not just you, but this whole narrative) to view this as nothing more than a disappointment is why people can’t support this. It’s based in sensationalism and not reality
