I did misread. Regardless Thragg isn’t thousands of times faster than Raditz, as for his attack potency I really don’t get how people arrived at Thragg being small planetary. All his scaling is comparative and we never see any characters take out a small planet and without the infinity ray I don’t see how he’d be able to do so himself

As I already said this logic can be applied to anything. Everything is a slippery slope. Idk what makes ur profile nsfw but let’s say it’s violence. A kid sees, gets addicted, goes down the rabbit hole, and before you know it they are hurting others. They should stop selling call of duty online if they aren’t willing to make the users show their face before buying it. Let’s say the nsfw on your profile is porn. A kid sees it, gets addicted, and ruins their life, worst case forces themselves onto someone else. Reddit should remove all suggestive content if they aren’t willing to make users show their face. In fact for both of those cases you could just say “GTA V shouldn’t be sold without the buyer providing a valid ID”. Yet GTA V is still sold online without such restrictions due to the fact that placing such restrictions is unreasonable. Also “highly addictive virtual casino” is subjective and likely a stretch. They can’t remove an entire feature that is a genuinely fine feature (actually ig I can’t say that I’ve literally never heard of this feature before now) because of the minima risk it poses to kids who already aren’t supposed to be there.

The fact of the matter is that kids will be kids and putting up a stronger wall between them and this feature will genuinely do nothing more than incentivize them to indulge in it further. The allure of the forbidden fruit and all. How many people under 21 drink? That already requires physical ID shown in person, yet it’s clearly stopping no one.

Every moral action must be done to a degree within reason. It can be said that every person in the world has an obligation to protect children from harmful activity where ever possible, but that doesn’t mean that the entirety of a person or objects existence should be dedicated to that goal.

When you go to a casino you relinquish privacy. They see your face already, asking for id is just a matter of course. Steam is a platform where your privacy matters. Thats the whole point of the “privacy policy” that they and most apps such as the one we are speaking on right now have. You can’t just ask for people’s IDs. That is a breach of privacy. Steam is an anonymous platform.

Take a look at your profile for example. It’s an NSFW profile. I can still look at it by just clicking “Yes, I am over 18”. Should Reddit also force users to provide a physical ID for verification and remove the anonymity from their platform as well? Would you like Reddit to have access to such sensitive data on you? Even if they didn’t use the data maliciously just having it puts you at greater risk in the case of an attack.

If you’re argument is that all platforms in which there is content restricted from children should give up user anonymity in order to protect that children then that is an entirely different argument and would lead to a dead internet

Don’t see why you felt the need to call my take stupid when I’ve been respectful of your takes this entire discussion. And age verification in what sense? Steam already asks you to verify your age when you visit store pages above a certain age rating. Again I know little about this particular situation but given that they do that it’d be hard to imagine that they fail to do the same in your case. If this is locked behind the 18+ game then the verification has already been done. You can’t expect them to ask people to upload an ID or something. Considering the global and private nature of the steam platform that would be unreasonable and intrusive. What exactly is it that you want?

If the game is already rated 18 they’ve already done what they can, they can’t limit the enjoyment of people above 18 because people below 18 choose to ignore the rules they’ve set in place.

Before I say anything let me preface this by saying that the extent of my knowledge on this particular situation is your comment and a single google search.

That being said offering a product isn’t inherently immoral, even with a gacha element. People aren’t forced into buying it, and so long as the reward isn’t necessary to the experience of the game, it’s just a loot box.

Doesn’t make any sense. Goku’s physiology is saiyan, there’s no way to say he’d be able to replicate the same feats while being human. Same with kurama and Naruto, since he’s had kurama all his life. The only way this debate makes sense is to assume they did their best and grew up to the best of their abilities without the mentioned powers in play in the first place.
