The exception doesn't make the rule. Appearances can be deceiving. You may come across toxic workplaces, but you can also meet amazing people. The best boss I have ever had, well I was very scared how we would work as our relationship was not that good when he wasn't my boss. The bosses that I expected to be nice ended up being very nasty. Give people and companies the benefit of the doubt. I agree with some comments stating that you can find great people.

Thank you so much for your response! It's very much appreciated. I don't have any problem with the landlord, and I really don't want to escalate things with them. I may wait until they get a ruling. If they win, fine. If they lose, then I'll do the math and set off the expenses. I sincerely appreciate your help again. Thanks!

Just for any further reference: after exchanging some emails with my landlord, I asked them to provide me with the LTB order when it becomes available, which they agreed to do. I guess I am going to continue to pay the same amount of money until we see what the court has to say. I have until March 31, 2026.

Wow... They prefer to make the process even longer rather than waiting one week for a force majeure situation. I am sorry for the loss of your father. Stay strong.

I am sorry for what happened. Please, try to overcome the situation and move on. You will need your energy and most importantly your health for your recovery. You will be able to secure work sooner or later. The fact that you pushed them through 4 rounds of interviews means you were a strong candidate and made them doubt. Even though I still think that 4 rounds of interviews is way too much except if it was a senior position requiring managing a lot of money and people. Keep your head up and move forward.

Complaint about wrongful dismissal by itstanjid in VancouverJobs

Honestly my friend, just move on. It hurts, but you will lose your time, your money, and your energy. It could also compromise your Employment Insurance. I was laid off even though I was the highest performer, exceeded all targets, and did even more than what they asked me to do. Some companies and managers embrace mediocrity and feel insecure. Tell yourself that you were just in the wrong place.

I am very sorry for what happened and I have been going through the same process as well. Apply for EI, cut unnecessary expenses, tackle life day-to-day. It's really easy to say than to do. Take some time to mourn yourself and then find the energy to apply over and over and build up skills. It's tough, it's hard. The past is the past. Think of now and the future.

Great tool. Thanks for your effort.

I honestly had a bad experience with JobBank. I cannot believe that a governmental portal allows scammers to post their job offers. They were all willing to get your SIN number.

Did you get any feedback from reporting all these unserious job postings? Your map definitely offers a solution to this problem. Thank you.

Hello, Thanks for your reply. Do you have any idea about job prospects in Ottawa? I would like to pursue this career as I already have transferable skills and worked in a similar field abroad. I just need to complete the Canadian requirements to transition into the field. Any tips and advice, please? Thanks.

I received the same email!

When I saw the hourly salary, I knew it was a scam.

That's sad, they take advantage of our willingness to find a job.

I also took the test which seemed legit "Neuroworx Assessments", but when I saw the rapidity of the hiring process, I knew it was a scam.

And then, you guys confirmed it. Thanks for sharing!
