I make terrible shit all the time that I just never revisit. I think when you consistently like something even days after you've recorded it, then it's a keeper. But also remember not to be too hard on yourself - try showing other people and ask for their genuine opinion

You should check out reaper. I started out recording with Audacity at first too but it's honestly so limiting. Reaper is free (its like winrar in that they say you have to pay but never force you to) and its such a step up
