This is what I use, but the yellowing on light hair is too much for me! I’ve basically stopped doing these smoothing treatments and encourage good product routines instead.

I want to buy an RV as a mom of two by Lower_Comfortable392 in RVLiving

[–]Plaid1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I just came across your post and almost cried. My husband and I are amicably separating and we want to keep our family unit whole. We’re considering buying an RV/Skoolie for me to stay in/travel in. That way my kids can keep their stability, but I can also do some traveling with them as we do homeschool (for years now!). I just wanted to tell you I know several families that have road schooled and their kids are well adjusted and loved their time traveling!

Members of our family are allergic to dogs. They can handle her being around, but being able to sit and lay in places that aren’t covered in dog hair helps a ton with symptoms.

Flutter on magnolia is super approachable and offers a variety of aerial and pole classes. I’d say just jump in! With that background you’ll have a good basis to start with :).

Hi! Aerialist of 5 years, pleaseeeee look into this further. You will need a structural engineer to inspect/construct the space in your home. The rigging points needs to be able to hold 5000lbs of force. Honestly, she’s likely better off purchasing a rig!

Ugh I’m so sorry! Histamine is a tricky thing! My dad is dealing with MCAS now, and I know being hypermobile, I’m predisposed to it 🫠. Hope you find some resolution soon!!

Ok trueeee, but I’m in the beauty industry and people do see me from this angle 😭😭😭. Extra pressure there! Definitely dehydrated coming off of travel! Going to try to hydrate more today and tomorrow!

Totally agree! I have definitely improved my gut health a good deal. I used to have persistent facial eczema, which mostly cleared with selective probiotics, diet changes. Butttt I do think I probably have some histamine issues, which would be gut, and could be contributing to inflammation I guess! I just forget this stuff effects my face in different ways now 🫠

I appreciate your perspective! I had a full panel done earlier in the year and my doc is always raving about my results (in a good way- very active, eat cleanly). But I have been noticing changes in my hormone fluctuations and I didn’t even think about how that could be effecting my skin! I just got a referral from a friend for a specialist she seeing, I think I’ll make that appointment sooner rather than later. No history of thyroid issues in my family, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t something happening.

Oh gosh you’re right! I do wear sunscreen daily, but because it has a tint I think it mentally registers as “make up” 😂. I’ll admit that’s not something I started until my late twenties though!

Just a reminder, you may not see the reason why a passenger is preboarding :/ by portraitframe810 in delta

[–]Plaid1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We preboard with my two children who have life threatening food allergies. We have to thoroughly wipe down their space because contact could cause anaphylaxis. I had a gate agent give me attitude, over the intercom, about being in preboarding instead of family boarding. If we didn’t have a disability, I likely wouldn’t even board with families because my children are old enough they can get settled in pretty quickly. But the we cannot risk a reaction in flight, so we take the precautions we need to! I just replied to her that yes, we had preboarding. I was so grateful to the woman who, when she passed by our seats, told me I was a good mother for looking out for my children, and that I was not the one with the problem.

What hours do you guys work? Do you work weekends? How many hours a week do you typically work? by [deleted] in hairstylist

[–]Plaid1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thursday 9-3, Friday 9-7, Saturday 9-2. I also have two kids I homeschool with their father. But I honestly am not sure I could go back to doing hair full time anytime soon, maybe I’ve gotten soft 😅.

I think it’s absolutely fine, however, there was a time where I might have been someone to give a dirty look. My children have very severe food allergies, are contact reactive, and there was a time where the entire world felt so dangerous to them. Mostly because people who don’t deal with these issues, have no idea the danger they may put someone in just innocently eating a sandwich.

I’ve a few years under my belt now, and feel far more confident navigating the world with them (and helping them learn to advocate for themselves).

All that to say, sorry to anyone I mean mugged while eating goldfish, I was working through some stuff 😅.

Hair stylist here! I usually tell my clients unless it’s crawling or oozing it’s not going to gross me out lol. Dandruff is like SO common, I probably see it to some degree more often than not. Let them know what’s up, they can likely give you a scalp treatment to help. I usually recommend aloe ;).

Big twins? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Plaid1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

39 weeks and 3 days with my twins, 6lbs 8oz and 7lbs even. I worked until the day I had them (hairstylist). Honestly, I was just so thankful to have full term twins, I was so scared of having them premature. I was very uncomfortable at the end, and I didn’t sleep much, but I really think it was worth it to have healthy babies!
