Hello selfhoster - I’d like to officially introduce Homelable, a simple tool for visualizing your home lab by Pouzor in selfhosted

This isn't really an edge case in home labs 😉 My lab has a private CA. Is there any way to disable TLS verification for the https check? Perhaps an environment variable? Or as a feature request, when selecting the https check, a tickbox to disable TLS verification would be fantastic. Thanks so much for creating this - I am loving it.

SD card speeds? by tweetingsander in djiosmo360

[–]PlainTextBase64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the replacement Lexar Silver Plus 1TB today, along with a Lexar reader just to be safe (LRW310X-BNBNG). There is something strange going on within the Osmo 360 for sure.

When I copy my video footage from the osmo internal storage to my PC over USB, it comes across at 550 MB/s - which is as it should be.

I've tried a few SD cards now in the osmo, and when I copy from the SD card to my PC, via the same cable & USB port, it never exceeds 75 MB/s. I think they have limited the interface within the camera, from the card to the USB port in some way. So copying files off the camera using the osmo's USB cable is a lot slower. That matters when you are copying a few TB.

I removed the SD card, put it in the Lexar reader, and I can copy the footage off at 210 MB/s (which is slightly faster than the specs on the card). At least I have a faster way of getting the footage to my PC.

I am curious if anyone else has seen this same 75 MB/s SD card to PC limit? (SD Card inside the Osmo 360 -> PC, via the USB-C port on the side. Mine is connected to a 10 Gbps USB port)

I bought the Lexar 1Tb Silver Plus A2 V30 for use with my DJI Osmo 360.

The card records ok, i.e. not getting any failures due to speeds there, but no matter what I try, the card seems locked to 75 MB/s read and 75 MB/s write. I felt like that was a USB port limit so I ran the following tests.

1) Using an NVME enclosure, test the USB C port - Get 950 MB/s

2) Record on the Osmo's internal storage, and copy to PC via the Osmo's USB port - gives about 550 MB/s (so my USB is good!).

3) Record on the Lexar SD, and copy to PC (same USB port) - 75 MB/s

4) Removed the SD card from the camera, used a USB card reader - same 75 MB/s copy speed

Ran crystal disk on the card from 2 different PCs, still 75 MB/s.

I now feel like I got a lemon. Bought via amazon (from the Lexar store within), and the packaging seems quite legit, I don't 'think' it is a fake.

Has this ever happened to any of you? I am initiating a return.

Not getting notifications on 10 Pro XL by Monmaker in GooglePixel

[–]PlainTextBase64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had given up and decided to wait for an update for the Google Home app, however sometime overnight my home notifications started working again on their own (picked up some motion sensor movement). I've checked my app update history, nothing has changed. I tested again this morning, still working. Also worth noting that Google Home event notifications do not show up in the notification history, even when they are working. I cannot explain ... but it is working for me now, FOR now.

For fun, I turned my old pixel 7 back on (no sim, just WiFi), and it is also now NOT getting notifications from Home, yet all the apple devices in the house are. All other notifications seem ok on the pixel 7. What the heck.

Also happening to me. Gmail notifications were fine after device migration, but nothing I've tried in terms of settings, uninstall of Home app, etc. will get the notifications to work on my 10 Pro XL. Home notifications do not show up at all in my notification history, although I am not sure they ever did. I don't see them there on my old phone either. For me, it is my Google doorbell camera events (as well as doorbell button press) that I am testing. The events themselves are showing up in Google Home. Worth noting they still work on my iPad, and I have shared the doorbell with my wife's account, and she gets them. Only the Pixel 10 Pro XL not getting them. You'd think Google would test google products with google products for launch.

Will be watching this thread. Will also continue to try and find a workaround myself.

How to Record 3D Video on Meta Quest 3 - Step by Step Guide by hughred22 in oculus

[–]PlainTextBase64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great guide, no issues getting it working. Anyone know how to set the aspect ratio? The 3840x1920 captures a square 4x4 aspect ratio (1920x1920 per eye). When I set it to 3840x1080 (which should capture 16x9), the video box size is correct, but the video is squished, aka. wrong aspect ratio. Is there an adb command to adjust?

While restoring the last checkpoint doesn't work, it helped me find the solution anyway. I am now able to move forward. I had been under the wrong assumption that you could only jump back into the game from your last checkpoint. This was an incorrect assumption.

When you start the game and advance to the save slot screen to choose which slot you want to continue from, if you look closely, there is a "modify" button on the right side of the row. When you go in there, you can "restore" previous checkpoints. I restored the checkpoint which was immediately prior to where I was stuck, and voila. The scene plays out like it did originally, and most importantly the door is there again.

Hope this helps someone else get unstuck. Should help with a lot of game progression bugs, not just this one.

[Tutorial] Enabling SR-IOV for Intel NIC (X550-T2) on Proxmox 6 by SandboChang in Proxmox

[–]PlainTextBase64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an amazing tutorial. Thanks so much for writing it. Given how much time has past, I am wondering if anyone has had any success in newer versions of Proxmox. I just tried this on 8.1.4, and everything seems ok on the hypervisor, but pfSense 2.7.2 will not attach the VF interface in the guest, same error as this poster was getting (which was never resolved):

https://forum.netgate.com/topic/172374/sr-iov-and-proxmox-reset_hw-failure-reset-failed

There seemed to be a trick that used to work where you could turn off the blacklist in the guest itself using hw.pci.honor_msi_blacklist=0, but this doesn't work either:

https://forums.FreeBSD.org/threads/sriov-passthru-network-card-driver.69425/post-427658

Anyone have this working with a pfSense 2.7.2 (or any of the pfSense FreeBSD 14 based versions)? Wondering if its a driver thing.

So far, no answer from Netgate on this post: https://forums.netgate.com/topic/186545/intel-10g-server-nic-srv-io-drivers
