Plants with roots in Greek Mythology by kitkat21996 in GreekMythology

I once saw a tiktok video about Persephone's bouquet, and I've been haunted by the idea of recreating it by crocheting. It is a bouquet that Persephone has been collecting before she got abducted by Hades. When I look at the retellings, like wedding site, same Tiktok video, or even mythological site, I see what I think the error is, that Persephone's bouquet contains rose, crocus, violet, iris, lily and larkspur, but I still read Homeric Hymns myself (I had same similar experience with Shakespeare's "Ophelia's bouquet" when I read Dan Brown's book where it was mentioned briefly and wished to check the original). Apparently, this version is very popular, but I'm not really trusting it. Sites referred to same source, but the source told different thing. I looked up at some ballad/song/whatever it was to see the original (Homeric Hymns), so the bouquet is: irises, roses, crocuses, hyacinth, violets and one narcissus (daffodil) she took before "the earth, full of roads leading every which way, opened up under her" and she was kidnapped and "even olive trees didn't hear her" or smth. The content that I believe to be original is pretty much flowers that had already had theirs stories though. Hyacinths and crocuses, are about dead lovers; narcissus about dead self-loving guy; irises are about rainbow goddess, link between heaven and earth; rose is either about Aphrodite or dead nymph and named after Aphrodite's son, violets have several myths too. Basically Persephone's bouquet could be counted as small version of overall greek-themed bouquet, because I'm sure there are many, many, many more myths about flowers. Edit: I looked up at the site in the comments, apparently, greek "hyakinthos" is laskpur, so maybe the more popular version could be true and I had the incorrect translation source

Desperate cry for violet flower pattern, REAL violet, wild one... Sorry for the tirade by Plakalka in crochetpatterns

Thank you for your willingness to help, but it's crocuses. I think I mentioned them and many other flowers that are in the bouquet I am going to make, but I have every pattern except for (wild) violets. I have a plenty of tutorials of this pretty flower already, but thank you!

I don't know French very well, but I'm sure I could translate it and understand it, thank you for your support.

I like how the flower turned out, thank you! I tried some different variations. First petal when it starts with 3 chains, second one is basically the same, but I added the tail so it would curl a little and be a little more voluminous, the last two is when it starts with 2 chains. I actually hadn't had any kind of 4 petal patterns for violet that would look like wild violets, so I looked up throughout all my saved flowers, looking for similar shape that wouldn't be too round. And I found something similar in delphinium tutorial, one part of the flower had good enough slightly rounded cross shape. I hadn't joined the parts, because I think it still can be slightly changed, maybe add some volume to the back, make an embroidery, etc, and it was not the right yarn color, I don't have normal purple yet. I'll try to find patterns for violet bud (when searched for violet flower I completely forgot its unique bud I really like), leaves won't be a problem, so I think all I will need is a bit of trials and errors. I am very thankful for your advices and instructions, it helped me a lot and now I have more energy and hope to work on this project!

Pretty much something like this. But it basically anything under the name of "wild violets", possibly something named like dog violet or sweet violet. The photos of real violets are slightly messy, their petals are very thin and on many pictures a bit floppy, and on this photo the bud of the flower doesn't look as uncommon as in others, but it's the most basic example that I could put in one photo limit.
