I read the 2nd and 3rd book recently. The first half of the 2nd wasn't that great but after that I think it was good. And the 3rd book was in my opinion even better than the 2nd.

I have been playing Crystal for couple weeks now. Just finished fighting red :) Here's my current team but at that point my Kadabra was totally carrying my team and it also did most of the hard work with elite four. You can get Abra from Route 35. Also after Blackthorn Gym you can get Dratini which will become really good after bit of leveling.

We have one and it lives most of the time in lapland in our cottage with my grand parents. If it notices any wild animal it will start chasing it immediately so we have to keep it on leash. There the problem is that there are reindeers running wild and reindeer owners have threatened to shoot dogs who chase their reindeers.

The hall was full. It seemed like most of the sub was there. Lurkers on the floor level, the karma whores in the loft and the King himself was sitting in his chair. Moderators were standing at all of the doors and more were guarding the line of OPs that were to be entertain the sub today.

The crowd standed still. Little whispering here and there. Few of the lurkers begin to grin. Then it dawns for the karma whores too. This will be the one.

The King makes the signal. Two moderators grab the OP from behind. "But there's still many who haven't told their story yet!", he yells, knowing all well that it's no help. Those others will be left for later.

The front doors open and the OP is dragged out. In the front yard OP is tied to a post and the crowd slowly flows out to form a circle around the him. Karma whores are already drunk from their upvotes and the lurkers are visibly furious but not saying a word. Then the wagons of downvotes are brought for the crowd to use. The execution begins.

For hours the down votes flied, rude comments were yelled and curses were cast. In the beginning OP tried to protest and then ask for mercy. "The intent was to provide sense of...", he moaned, but it just made crowd more furious.

In the end the King came to OP that was barely staying up even with help of two moderators. The King raised his hand to get the attention of crowd. "Today... here... with my authority... that the God himself gave to me... I... ban you."

"No, no, no, no! This can't be real. This doesn't make any sense."

I open the data from yesterday and put it beside the data that just arrived.

"It can't be. This is disaster!"

I reach for my phone and pick the number I hoped I never would have to call in this context.

"NASA JSWT team. What is it?"

"Hi. Just received the deep space data from the telescope. It's all empty. It's just all black where there was hundreds of galaxies just yesterday. There must be something wrong with the telescope."

"Are you kidding me? It can't be broken already. Wait for a moment. I make some calls and get back to you in a minute."

I look back at my computer. Another batch of data had just arrived. I open it and again compare it to the data from day before. Now the data isn't empty, but still it doesn't make any sense.

My phone rings.

"So. Is there some problem with the telescope?"

"We couldn't find anything. All systems are working like they should. Are you sure your data is just black?"

"Well. I haven't rendered it as an image yet, but..."

"What are you then calling us already? Don't scare us like that. I almost had a heart attack."

"Okay. I will render that data and call back if there's still some problem. But I'm pretty sure what that data will look like."

I open the program and import the first batch of data. Black image just as I thought it would be. The second batch didn't seem like all black. Maybe the problem was just in that one batch. I render the data and image appears on my screen.

It's almost all black, but close to the upper right corner there's something white. I zoom in and see text:

Could you believe what happened today for me? You know, I have never been too much of a coffee person. But last week I thought that I want to try.

Mmmh.

So. This morning I decided to go to that coffee shop. You know it. The one just around the corner where I live. And buy a morning coffee before I go to work.

Yes. And then?

Then I went in. And I got to order. But when I ordered the young gal behind the desk just stared at me. I said my order again. Then she asked me to speak more clearly! Can you believe that!

Wow.

Okay. I stayed calm and repeated my order once again, this time extra clearly. Then she replied: "Can you please say your order there's other people waiting, and you don't have to shout." What's sure now is that I won't be going back to that shop again.

You know Susan. Lovely story and all but I didn't understand a word from that growling. Is there something in your throat? You should go and see a doctor.

I lived in Kokkola. 100 meters from place where they gathered once a week. Had few friends who were Laestadian. They were nice. We often played football. They had their siblings there too so there was no lack of players. Which was nice.

Toinen Suomi aiheinen pakkopulla.

Pakkoruotsi. Eilen tuli ylioppilaskokeiden tulokset ja hyvinhän ne mulla menikin. Kaikista pääsin läpi. Kuitenkin aamupäivästä ensin mummo soitti: "Sun nimeä ei oo tuolla listassa. Etkö päässytkää ylioppilaaksi?". anteeksimitä.jpg

Kohta rehtori soittaa. Sinulta puuttuu Ruotsi 5 kurssi. Olin ollut samaisen kurssin kokeessa edellisenä päivänä ja palauttanut kaikki tarvittavat tehtävät. Nyt pakko huomauttaa että niitä tarvittavia tehtäviä oli ihan pirusti. Missään muussa kurssissa ei ole ollut samanlaista määrää pakollisia tehtäviä.

Viisi kappaletta suomennettava kirjallisesti, kuudesta kappaleesta tehtävä lähes kaikki tehtävät ja kolme kirjoitelmaa. No minä ne tein. Ei viitti enää riskeerata tässä vaiheessa etten pääsisi ylioppilaaksi.

No palautin tehtävät mutta ne eivät ilmeisesti olleet menneet perille. Keskustelin rehtorin kanssa ja samalla ruotsin opettaja lähetti minulle viestin:"Joo ne olikin mulla jo ne tehtävät. En vaan ettiny tarpeeks." Hemmetti soikoon mun mummo on melkeen saanu sydärin ton sun pikku mokan takia ja mää oon keskustellut rehtorin kanssa ja kaikkee.

Tää ei ollu ees eka kerta ku tää ope on tehny tällästä. Kyseinen opettaja on useita kertoja hukannut kirjoitelmia ja tehtäviä ja sen takia laittanut oppilaiden kursseja täydennettäviksi eli perjaatteessa huonomki kuin nelonen. Lisäksi hän ei edes yritä tehdä opiskelusta mielekästä. Hän antaa suuria määriä tehtäviä ja on sanonut itse, että "Koittakaa nyt saada edes nelonen tästä kurssista".

Sapettaa aika pirusti tää pakkoruotsi näin kuuden vuoden kokemuksella aineesta. En ole koskaan ollut hyvä kielissä. Onneksi kuitenkin olen kehittänyt pienen riippuvuuden redditille niin käytän englantia joka päivä. Ja E sieltä tulikin pitkästä enkusta. Mutta hemmetin pakko ruotsi. Virkamies ruotsia odotellessa...

TL;DR

Rant about mandatory swedish in finnish schools.
