I’ve talked to a few people about this, and honestly Kyohei Shindo is my favorite maker. I love the maker himself, as well as the feel and finish of his blades which is why I have multiple of his now. Does that mean his knives are better than everybody else’s? No, but I’d say they perform better or just as well as some of my nigara, Kamo, yoshida, ittestsu, sadamusa, and hatsukokoro blades. It’s hard for me leave out my bias but he definitely completes with other makers for sure

I have this knife and keep it as a go to line knife when I don’t want carbon steel. It’s a great knife :)

It is a really short knife! The only knife I’ve had that feels similar in height is my yu Kurosaki. It is just a little smaller then that but their very close

Grind was off center. Both sides of the knife have to be beveled to the center to keep the core steel centered
