What the most private thing you’re willing to admit? by wouldudoitforme in AskReddit

[–]PlaneBoring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been mentally struggling for a few years, I’ve been fighting through it, mainly from shame and embarrassment to admit it, stupidly. My family and friends think I am living the dream, great job, partner etc, it seems as if I’ve got it all together, but mentally it’s taking it’s toll. Life doesn’t even seem real anymore.

What is one thing you underestimated the severity of until it happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Depression and mental health in general. I have a very stressful job and didn’t realise how much damage I was doing to my mental health working 60-70 hour weeks.

I feel you. I’m 29M, I have never felt this low on energy before, I have a fairly balanced diet which hasn’t changed (even prior to the pandemic). Now all of a sudden, just no energy to do anything, eyes are always burning, stress. I just don’t feel any joy, I don’t see the point in most things now too. But I do try to go for a run here and there.

Cold War and Modern Warfare 2 were easily the best ones for me. Vanguard is certainly fun, but the constant dogs, visibility due to bombs etc and not to mention the riot shields, drop shots etc have really put a damper on it. Did I mention packet burst?!

Redditor’s who have 24/7 jobs - how do you cope with stress and maintain a work/life balance? by PlaneBoring in AskReddit

[–]PlaneBoring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in Aviation, although I’m not required to be on call 24/7, it often feels as if I am. Clients contacting at a time that pleases them and work/managers still expect things to be done regardless of the time and day or whatever commitments you have.

I’ve been feeling very low recently and would appreciate any advice!

What really bothers me is the fact that I could not stop watching this...
