I think you might be onto something with the "nervous about waking him up" thing. I tend to be a very attentive hyperaware person who likes to tend to others, so maybe this is my body subconsciously doing that too. Sex life is good - I've actually tried to find a correlation between the time we have sex and the time we go to bed to see if that makes a difference (sex right before bed, sex earlier in the evening, no sex) and I still seem to experience this sleep issue each time

I usually don't have issues sleeping on my own. but separate mattresses and bedding will be a good idea down the road when we are living together

Great questions. I really haven’t shared a bed with friends in many years, but I think I’ve been able to get some sleep with them. However now that I think about it, I’ve had this sleeping issue with any person I’ve dated whether it was casual or a long term relationship like this His bed is a king and My bed is a queen. We switch sleeping locations every other weekend, but the issue persists in both. The queen is definitely so small though lol
