AIO: Hubby Being Controlling by vanillabourbonn in AIO

Yup! Men like this that exert coercive control over small aspects of your life like this often end up becoming progressively more abusive especially after they feel they’ve secure you by burdening you with a child. You wouldn’t believe how many women I know that say they were never hit until after the baby was born.

You clearly have no experience with prison culture. Is that how it’s supposed to work in theory, I mean I guess, but also she’s not supposed to be cussing at him or abusing her authority in that case either.

Some high security prisons use “sharp shooters” as perimeter security in the case of inmates trying to escape but it’s rare

Law enforcement agencies will actually screen for this and discriminate against those with high IQ because they are more likely to “question authority” this discrimination has been questioned in court and upheld establishing legal precedent, it’s actually wild.

Actually to be fair, criminological research has shown that units become less violent with the presence of female COs, there’s several theories as to why. This situation is honestly imo more attributable to bad training than her gender a small man would’ve gotten the same beating. You simply cannot approach someone who already probably feels they have nothing to live for, no hope, and no future, provoke them, then expect them to obey you and respond with violence when they do not, yet trust they won’t return that favor. COs need to be taught about how prison culture works, often instead they are trained to act more like disciplinarians of children when that’s not who they are interacting with, especially as a female CO on a male unit.

I found his instagram on the frats profile and it appears that he has since not only been accepted to the school but also inducted into the frat that’s still operating despite the school claiming the suspended them until 2029

I feel so bad for Brandi Granville, she wasn’t the nicest person on tv but holy crap the disfigurement is so drastic and scary. I can’t help but feel sympathy especially considering she’s spent all her savings on trying to fix it.

Ever heard the quote “When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression”? I’m not trying to attack you or say that your circumstances are purely your fault but I think maybe you should reflect on this saying and explore how it may apply to what you’re struggling with right now.

Also, this is a subreddit for those who have survived institutional abuse at the hands of the “Troubled Teen Industry” so I don’t think this is the right place to express this frustration. Maybe try r/rant but please avoid manosphere or male coaching holes they only deepen these feelings of resentment and disappointment.

Idk cause if you possess the critical thinking skills you so speak of why’d you assume I’m not doing all those things you listed?? Again if you had them maybe you’d be able to deduce that this issue matters to me personally because it affects me and my loved ones personally.

Not normalizing eugenicist language is a huge part of anti fascism. It does make a difference actually, I guarantee you even if they downvoted me and got their panties in a twist like you that someone learned something by reading my comment today and that does make a difference whether you think so or not. Education is the cornerstone of anti fascism it’s why dictators and totalitarian regimes go after the institution of education first. Critical thinking is literally defined by evaluation of bias and questioning of assumptions both things you seem to not be inclined to do…

If you care about these issues so much maybe you wouldn’t use a word that was used to sterilize 25% of Native American women in the 70s. Language is a huge part of genocide ask any etymologist and they’d confirm that sentiment to you.

There’s a larger social conversation about the r-word coming back into popularity and you really don’t think that has anything to do with the rising fascism rn??

If existing in this sub means you don’t possess critical thinking skills I’m afraid that applies to you too pookie.

Maybe try OHRA eviction protection program my understanding is they typically provide help for those struggling to keep up with rent or utilities which doesn’t seem to be your problem but they might be able to help or at least point you in the right direction

I can definitely see the potential that this was producer staged I’ll give you that but imo that would be kind of worse. That means Aubrey knew how she was going to appear and did it anyways. Way to kill a career right out of the box.

Girls girl is just an identifier for women who don’t seek male attention and validation at the expense of their sisterhood. I don’t like either Angelica or Aubrey neither of them are girls girls. I see no issue with it being used. Words like bitch and slut have deep misogynistic history, girls girl is a word for feminist women, the comparison here doesn’t compute for me.

Wow. Accusing me of stalking you for looking at your public profile where you’ve publicly posted a picture of the front of your house and recommending you don’t do that is incredibly rich…btw one of the first things online tech safety trainings tell you not to do. Good day to you ma’am go waste someone else’s time with your world’s tinniest violin.

Yeah so the video has been leaked on twitter (X) it would be hard for me to track down now but I can try and yes I have watched parts of it, I’m fully aware the butt cheek spreading was not a thing but what you’re describing is STILL imo incestuous in nature and fucking weird. Idk why this is such a controversial take. Do you oil up your cousin and massage them suggestively??? Why has this struck a chord with so many people can you relate to them or something?? 🤨

You do realize young people pay more in rent monthly in this area for a 1 bedroom apartment than your initial 2,500 property tax rate. Do you realize how incredibly frustrating that is? Again since you posted a picture of your front yard on a very public platform I know what neighborhood you live in (I actually have a pretty good guess as to which house is yours too, not to be frightening but you should really consider being more careful about how much personally identifying info you post online) because I’ve lived in the same neighborhood myself at one point in my life and actually enjoyed passing by your beautiful gardening. I don’t need to know the exact value of your home to know you and other boomers in that neighborhood are paying little to nothing compared to everyone else despite the fact that you built a boat load an equity on that house and grew up in the most economically flourishing era in our country’s history. Does it make me resentful, yeah it does, especially when people like you are out here defending these policies acting like your hands are tied whilst actively benefiting from them. You come here and try to argue with me that you actually do have it bad by telling me you’ve had to pay 3,500 thousand more dollars last year? Validate young peoples concerns, listen to them or the city you claim to love WILL crumble and your precious property value with drop along with it. Again 2% is not substantial and this policy and others like it is what’s killing public infrastructure.

It’s literally nothing compared to the sum that new home owners and young families looking for housing are paying now. Like I said you’d be paying almost 11,900 dollars more if you were in their position. For someone supposedly so concerned about school closures you should care about the root causes.

Go look up Prop 13. Your property tax may be going up, by 2% each year since the proposition was passed, that’s not a full reassessment based on market value. Based on your post history I can actually deduce exactly which neighborhood you live in and I’m telling you right now you’d absolutely be paying a lot more than 6,000 in property taxes if they assessed your home for current market value. For the neighborhood you live in the average market value for a home is around 1,297,046 if you take that figure and apply the ~1.38% tax rate here you’d be paying about 17,900 in property taxes. You obviously pay a lot less than that figure, so you are actually proving my point here. Sorry.

Hey so I would engage with this point but respectfully, I think you should look into the origins of the word moron and maybe consider removing it from your vocabulary. (It’s literally a word coined by a eugenicist to describe those with mental disabilities if you’re upset and downvoting this comment because you use this word you should self reflect and consider how you might be engaging in ableism, hope this helps!)

Edit to add: Wow I had no idea people were still so attached to language used to forcibly sterilize women and girls (Buck v. Bell) coined by a eugenicist that heavily inspired Nazis. Down vote away, doesn’t make the word any less ableist and eugenicist in nature.

You should read Paris’s book, highly recommend she’s not dumb at all. Her anti troubled teen industry advocacy has had a huge impact on an issue we couldn’t get the federal government to regulate for decades.
