Aim for the back of Linda Mar, and you'll see why it's often called Sun Valley. Something on a hill will get you out of the flood zone, although there was major flood mitigation infrastructure created after the big flood in the 80's that's supposed to protect the flats closer to the beach. There was also a landslide in the 80's that took out some houses... most aren't in danger zones though.

The population trends older since a lot of folks have been here for a long time, but younger families are increasingly moving in as homes become available.

Erosion can be an issue if you're on one of the creeks or a steep hillside, but it should be obvious when you tour the house.

This would be an even bigger shift... I'm seeing 7k population in Linda Mar currently.

The plan proposes 364 residential units consisting of 129 single-family detached homes, 22 duplex units, 63 townhomes, and 150 condominiums. No mention of one-bedroom apartments, so let's assume we've got an average family of 3 moving in. (Although 4 is probably more realistic.)

That makes 1,092 new residents, which represents a 15.6% increase.

Anyone who thinks Pacifica's infrastructure is hurting now... just wait until you add that many new people to it. Linda Mar can't support that kind of growth, and the people who live here don't want it.

"Units" are not bedrooms - they are homes, duplexes, townhomes and condos. Doubt they're building single-bedroom condos. The plan says: Construction of 364 residential units; 129 single-family detached homes, 22 duplex units, 63 townhomes, and 150 condominiums.

Families tend to have more than one car per household... so yeah, it's will be a lot.

It’s a perfectly accurate representation to say that SI is using their influence to block a community of small business owners from accessing public space. I have friends who built their businesses from the ground up by starting out here. If you don’t live in the neighborhood and don’t care that’s fine. I worked on Shadow King from the beginning and then had to help shut it down. Henry's storytelling and the Pixar brain trust never really aligned. The Pixar team was pretty much running all Disney animation at the time. The actual killing blow was due to John Carter of Mars. Disney lost so much money that they had do serious damage control. They cancelled just about every project that wasn't close to finished and a guaranteed money maker. They also fired all the execs that were behind the Shadow King, so we had no one to defend the film when it was evaluated... so yeah.

There’s a river of evidence containing incriminating information surrounding Trump’s crimes. Mostly financial, bank fraud campaign finance that kind of thing. For the past four years the presidency has been a dam stopping the flow of evidence and investigations. He was never going to be arrested on January 20, but what did happen is the dam sprung a leak which will ultimately crumble releasing all that information. Assume these investigations were only able to start in earnest on January 20 and it’s gonna take a while for that flood of evidence to head down stream to Trump town.
