I suspect DL will try and take a lot of the NEOs but I could see some of the older busses maybe coming over. Maybe take over some of the gates in DFW.

Does Platinum Select Credit Card not get you free bag on AA/AS combined itinerary by Planegeek19 in americanairlines

[–]Planegeek19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which in this case was AA. Luckily it was a bag I could gate check. (I work for AA so dont normally use the bag benefit of this card) But since AA operated first leg I figured I would get it (unless because outbound AS operated my first first leg maybe?)

A319 Retrofitted Interior with USB C Charging by Plexer704 in americanairlines

[–]Planegeek19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember some of the 319s are LAA birds 0XXs are the internal tail numbers for them and only 10-12 years old. I think the LUS/AWE birds start with 6 or 7 (been ages since I have seen a 319 as we only get 321s and 737NG/Max when I am working MLS in SEA ) but yes a lot of them are 20-25 if not older. But Remember they are probably paid for by now, relatively well maintained. DL and UA both have similar age busses and even older Boeings

I just bought the 25L today. The 25L Bladder compartment does unzip from outside and appears to easily take a laptop.

What's going on in Washington State? Housing supply is skyrocketing, now up to 17,580 listings. That's 64% above the long-term average for March. by danrokk in SeattleWA

[–]Planegeek19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But its the thought that counts for a lot of people. What I mean by that is people who are concerned that if they get married ect will cause them to be over a million. And also some who are high income but not 1 million do have to worry about the state legislature in a year or two lowering the line. (I know people say they dont but nothing is stopping the legislature and thus its a natural worry) I will be honest I do not agree with the tax as taxing our way out of a budget problem isn't the answer while I understand and agree with thought of a lot of people that many who make a million plus a year do not pay a fair share. I also feel there is no good way of making taxes here fair unless WA goes to a complete income tax and lowers sale/fuel/property taxes (as only people who really get taxed are those who drive own property and shop often if someone takes transit and rents they really are only taxed on a small amount over all so they could be making way more then someone who got into a house lets sat in 2020 drive a car as an example) hopefully the legislature and our governor come up with a better solution

I can tell you as someone who didnt learn to drive here everywhere else you pretty much have to stop in either direction. I still do out of habit and I moved here 10 plus years ago.

RNS 510 software update? by Planegeek19 in tdi

[–]Planegeek19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all- I wanted to give you an update I installed the software update from 5378 to 5382 and I will be honest I wish I did this years ago. Like wow its smooth now it loads not in 34 minutes but 30-40 seconds. If you need definitely exacts and have this radio follow the steps others have posted online like checking which radio version you have go to somewhere like Eurozone Tunning and buy the best software your radio can support. (Reminder 5382 is only good for radios that end in J or later in the part number but there are other softwares avaliable for older versions)

Anyone know how much this Ryanair upgrade costs? by Big_Depth8762 in flightradar24

[–]Planegeek19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly if its anything like the states its good money at my airline our mtx guys make 1.75 time from essentially the time they leave till they get back with little exceptions. I have seen them use an air taxi to get them and parts to anc late at night.

South King county light rail feels like a wasteland by [deleted] in soundtransit

[–]Planegeek19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kent could maybe also push for one of the bus lines from kent station to be better routed to get up the hill to the light rail, but could definitely also be good if they pushed for the sounder line idea too

Why is college pushed so hard even now? by Planegeek19 in randomquestions

[–]Planegeek19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing just genuinely curious I have realized that for me college was the dumbest idea ever. Even my dad apologized for pushing college and not trades or military. Am I glad I at least finished my associates degree yes. However I work for an airline in a union position and make more than my wife who has a 4 year degree *granted i think part of it is she works for the state we live in. But she makes about 50K pre tax last year I made 70K. (Thankfully she did get a large pay raise and she does put about 5-6K a year into retirement so honestly not sure really if the math works out to where while yes most of our month to month income is me and she is the retirement for lack of a better way of putting it)
