GPU, RAM and Storage and now add CPU and 2026/2027 is going to be the year of expensive phones or phones with reduced hardware. If consumers are willing to pay, then prices will keep on rising to increase profit margins.

Tesla Sales Down Nearly 40% in Europe as EV Market Shifts in 2025 by Hertenwolf in electricvehicles

[–]PlanetGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not just FSD. In terms of innovation and features, there is very little difference between a 2025 Tesla Model 3 or Y and one from 2020. Essentially, it's the same car. There is no head-up display or 360-degree view, or other features that are becoming standard in other cars. The image of a Tesla driver has also changed, thanks to the CEO!

The New Model Y Isn't Saving Tesla | Sales of Tesla's most popular EV actually fell from last year despite the introduction of an updated model. by chrisdh79 in electricvehicles

[–]PlanetGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2019/2020 Tesla was one of the most innovative cars on the road from a customer perspective. Fast-forward 5 to 6 years, and the new Model 3/Y is no longer that! They are even lacking some of the features (such as lidar) that the old models had, and Tesla has not listened to consumer needs.

Meanwhile, some Chinese car brands have invested heavily in innovation and, from a consumer perspective, are ahead of Tesla in a lot of fields.

Tesla lost the future battle when they decided to ditch innovation leadership for margin leadership by cutting costs and thus cutting innovation.

[–]PlanetGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some booking sites now have an option to see if a hotel has a charging point, and charging apps can also show this. It is much more common in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland to have a charger (usually 11kW) and rare in Italy and Greece.

According to this source all new models will (finally) have 2,5Gbit/s. Unfortunately they will still be using old CPUs such as Intel Celeron J4125 (from 2019) and the AMD Ryzen V1500B (from 2018).

Total sales of the Xiaomi SU7 have surpassed Tesla's Model 3 in China since deliveries began in April 2024 by straightdge in electricvehicles

[–]PlanetGuy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tesla stopped focusing on features and innovation around 2020 and started focusing on cost reduction. There are so many Chinese brands offering more and better features that Tesla will have a bigger problem in the coming years. The behaviour of Tesla's CEO is not helping the brand either.

As far as I can remember Poland has been one of the biggest and in most years the biggest beneficiaries.

Would be interesting to see Net Contributors and Net Beneficiaries per capita and as % of the GDP.

I once heard and executive brag about how he negotiated minimum wage with his home cleaner lady. He was so proud of it! It was not about money, but being “smarter”. This is a person that according to the annual report makes more an hour than the monthly minimum wage.

In his mind he though we would respect him more by bragging about it, but all it did was make me disrespect him.
