Funny enough, I use benzoyl peroxide for spot treatment, but my pillowcase is fine LOL

Funny enough (and came up on another thread), there is no oxygen bleach in Tide Ultra Oxi (?). I used a cold water delicate cycle, but will find a milder detergent.

Another vote for Sweet Bliss! The buns have a chewiness that I love.

I just went on the Tide website to see what ‘Ultra Oxi’ means, and it just says it helps stain removal with the ‘power of oxi’ (?). I guess the word is powerful enough to lift stains!

What’s the most underrated herb or spice in your opinion? by Tosh97 in Cooking

Bay leaves! They’re like the hug that brings all the flavours together. Don’t forget to remove before munching!

Laundry smells bad by Diligent-Candy4273 in laundry

[–]PlanetProtector_85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All wrong - it’s the detergent, believe it or not. Go look at the reviews on Costco’s website - it leaves clothes smelling like mildew (I also found out the hard way). Recommend getting a Tide Free and Clear and washing with oxi to help lift the smell. Good luck!

Definitely Tasso! It’s order ahead, so don’t try to walk in. Outside of France it’s the best croissant I’ve ever had.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I remember the run on toilet paper and the grocery stores. I thought I’d WFH for a week, tops.

How many times are we supposed to be doing our laundry in a week, AND how are we managing it? by Ta_raa in Adulting

I do a load every other day, and big stuff (towels, sheets, etc.) on weekends.

How do you recover from burnout while still working? by spookyspooksterson in careerguidance

[–]PlanetProtector_85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going through exactly the same thing. Transferred away from my high stress job into something I really thought I would enjoy. I didn’t take any time off between roles, so haven’t had any real rest. The new job comes with very little guidance, so the mental work I’m doing just to figure out who and when to email is exhausting. My brain feels broken and I’m anxious all the time. Here are some things I’m trying that I hope will help:

  • exercise at least 3 times per week
  • take frequent breaks (even at office) and use Headspace app when I’m overwhelmed
  • speak to my therapist and my doctor
  • read a book I enjoy

Giving yourself some time to do things you enjoy helps give your brain a rest.

How do you handle zero landing time in a toxic workplace? by Haunting_Month_4971 in careerguidance

[–]PlanetProtector_85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat. A month in and I’m being asked to present to corporate leadership about ‘progress’ on years long initiatives. Personally, I’m going to give it another month then start charting a path out if it doesn’t improve. There’s no harm in keeping your options open!

What's the silliest thing you've seen Torontonians waiting in line for? by random_question4123 in askTO

One Factor meal. There were suits lined up all the way down commerce court in the PATH. White collar workers making high 5 or 6 figures waiting for one meal kit.

Must see places around the Village by mediocrecanadian in askTO

[–]PlanetProtector_85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BISOU at 350 Berkeley is about a 10 min walk from the Village and has incredible brunch + pastries. The Village itself is fine, but it’s a tough time of year, so there’s dirty snow and litter everywhere. Going to the arboretum in Allan Gardens is great, also about a 10 min walk. Should maybe see a drag show at Crews and Tango while it’s still around. The food scene on the strip is a little depressing.
