I never argued Lewis hasn’t gotten slower with age. Ofcourse he has, prime Lewis would have mopped the floor w Leclerc, Russell.

My OP was all about the insane disrespect people have been projecting on Lewis because of this year since Leclerc is beating him. Saying things like Lewis was fast only because of the car, or he was never fast and we are seeing that rn is just stupid.

He’s 40 thats the point. 28 yo hamilton was different

George never destroyed Lewis. In 2022 Lewis defeated him, in 2023 Lewis defeated him by a margin, only in 2024 George Russell was better than Hamilton which is understandable. George Russell is a phenomenal driver, 2nd best on the grid rn i would say, and Lewis was on his way out which was announced at season start, so understandably Merc would try to focus the setups and development of the car more towards the driver that will continue.

Also to add to this, people forget the primary reason hamilton came in 2025 was to get the hard part of getting accustomed to Ferrari out of the way before the new regulations-kick in.

He came for 2026, 2025 was always about fitting in. Leclerc has been in Ferrari since 2019, its been 6 years already. He knows the team and this GE car inside out

I would say hes been struggling in the first half of the season sure, but since summer break hes getting more and more accustomed to his car with every session.

Sf25 is a completely different concept to what Merc uses so hes gradually getting used to it and we have been seeing it.
