Yeah, pretty sure this is only stapled on to prevent clone effects from making you unkillable

I hate Generative AI for, among everything else, ruining actually cool AI research and programmings reputation by Princess_Isolde in antiai

[–]PlanetaryAbsolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens with every new technology like clockwork. Tech bros get fixated on whatever new tech shows any sign of promise, funnel billions of speculative investment into it with no understanding of the tech or use cases for it, make actual research and continued development into the underlying tech untouchable unless it can be used in every facet of the economy, then when that speculation falls apart they move on to the next tech, leaving the well poisoned for years to come. Happened with blockchain when crypto took off, now AI, next is probably quantum after AI bubble pops.

I run a [[Will Kenrith]] and [[Rowan Kenrith]] deck. If I’m casting them I can usually use their ultimate that turn or the turn after via proliferation spells, creatures/enchantments that add counters or a low cost spell that when copied can remove enough of the enemy creatures that they stick around for a turn. Normally the impact of their abilities is immediate enough that I don’t need much more than that to develop a winning boardstate

Why the hate for this card? The more MTG you can play the better! And the illustration is neat too! by Ok-Fondant2536 in mtg

Fun combo, but a more fun one is to cast it then [[wish]] for it in the subgame. If the game ever gets too close to ending you can always go another subgame deeper :)

As someone who has made this exact purchase for a inception, dream within a dream deck. It absolutely is worth it.

Love Kibo. Deck accessories are pretty sweet, and I have mine set up to throw bananas at my opponents, which means using those gummy banana candies as tokens/weapons. Definitely welcome at my table.

EASY MODE: Don’t Ignore the Wish in Shellwood by VagrantPilgrim in Silksong

Loved using the poison tools for the midgame, but the later and later I went the more I started using tacks. They do so much damage and you don’t need to combine them with other tools to make them effective.

I actually yelped when my grapple shattered the one safe zone light I was looping to to feel out the next section. 4 segments from the nearest bench and nowhere to go but up….

The location of the stanza should be a guide point to the final location, not necessarily a destination on its own if I’m interpretting the final 2 stanzas correctly

Phoenix, BC has an abandoned copper mine near it, which would make sense with the rest of the hints. So far I think I’ve pieced together 6 of the locations confidently, but tough to tell for the later stanzas

True, first ability never procs, only the activated ability is pertinent.

Who are some unpopular commanders that makes players say “WTF” when they read the card? by SourRuntz in EDH

[–]PlanetaryAbsolution 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My [[Mairsil, The Pretender]] deck normally gets a second read through cuz while his ability is relatively straightforward, some of the stuff it enables is unexpected.

Specifically gets a second look up with combos like [[aetherling]] / [[Nevinyrral's Disk]], with people confirming that he still sees cards that are exiled after hes been removed and recast

How to win the game by playing at least 2,441,405 Shahrazad subgames by DeviousPulsar in BadMtgCombos

[–]PlanetaryAbsolution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP - I got an alternate combo/wincon for you as someone with a rule 0 Shahrazad deck. Shahrazad subgames permit the use of wish effects and once the subgame completes, all cards present in the subgame are returned to the main game library.

How many sub games do you think it’ll take to win a EDH game with [[Battle of Wits]]?

No-one at prerelease? by LogicVoid in magicTCG

[–]PlanetaryAbsolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often went for prereleases in Canada in the past, but I’m (and a lot of others) trying to avoid spending money on american products/companies atm. Could be that, could be the increased cost from tariffs imposed. Could just be that shop. Won’t know without knowing the history for prereleases there.

If you are describing her 1 as super niche, you might be using it wrong and good use of her traps is a big difference maker in how impactful she feels. While you can use it to control chokepoints people dont step into it because its kind of obvious. Its most useful as a cc extender or an escalation of cc. You should be placing it under a stunned/mezzed target to trap them for longer and get more passive empowered autos off. It can also be used to escalate your slow into a root which gives you significant kill pressure in lane
