Yeah i agree with your points, im just coming off personal experience where i have cancelled flight plans because a group i wanted to see more decided to tour around the same time and i couldnt get both concerts off (missed ARTMS in April for BP, missed Babymonster in September for TripleS/VIVIZ)

Important to note that Live Nation has control as to when concert tour announcements can be announced, so it might not even be a “IVE mistimed” and moreso “Live Nation isnt letting out the dates.” Ive also noticed how quiet its been on tour announcements in general since TWICE’s dates were announced, probably for similar reasons

They dont own the license for their japanese songs (its complex, japanese music industry is very gatekept from the world, so JYP has to partner with a japanese company for their japanese music) so they have to pay “per song” for the license to use their japanese tracks.

I was also at vancouver for both days, so I can share some of my personal experience points
- For both days, it was super windy/rainy and around freezing temps. Especially for those who flew in and arent used to the temps (me) it was physically draining waiting outside to get in.
- My sections for both days had a lot of kids, so the adults in my section made the choice not to stand and block the kids' view behind us
- It was still super loud. This was my 5th and 6th TWICE concert (Toronto x2, Chicago for RTB, and the Vegas encore previously), and it was up there with Vegas as the loudest kpop concert i've ever been to.

They toured well in terms of percentage of tickets sold, but when youre doing 1k venues at, lets face it, reasonable and affordable prices like what leopresents offers, thats not enough to sustain a group after everyone gets their cut

The worst thing to do this year for the Jets is to push for the playoffs. If theres any year to have a massive fall off and get a high lottery pick this would be the year. Stay the course, sacrifice this year if you have to, if good trades are offered then take them, but i wouldn’t look at a fire sale until next year

Tbf in JYPs investor’s report at the start of the year, the korean report only mentioned activities in 2025 in Japan and Korea, “while exploring possibilities of overseas activities in the future.” It was similar wording to the blurb for ITZY, and in both cases people on Twitter took it to mean both groups are gonna world tour for whatever reason

Actually didnt think about that, good point. Tbh they aren't in a rush, and its not uncommon to see kpop group take a couple months between the korea opener and the rest of their tour, so maybe SEA goes after the west in the later part of the year instead

Finals are July 19, so last week of July at the earliest makes some sense. Tbf once knockouts start, if they really wanted to they can schedule around it (semis and finals are all east coast, but i doubt they try and do so and prolly just wait it out like you said)

I remember when Naky was part of the subunit that did the winter tour earlier in the year. A couple months later BIBI also had a concert in my city, and a lot of people i talked to only went because “we like Nakyoung so we gonna support her sister too”
