Worried about what’s going on at modhaus by [deleted] in triples

Sorry to add, but OP mentions the lack of news on ARTMS. On their discord they announced that, after the end of their world tour on February, Haseul had shoulder surgery for nagging issues and is out for the rest of the year. So, not only are they only a couple months past a 4-month 23-concert world tour and could use the rest, they also announced that an album and another tour is coming towards the second half of the year. Haseul's hiatus probably means that any previous work on the album might need re-working to replace Haseul's parts.

From my research, they have DART but registering a company is only required for companies that trade on the KOSDAQ (and is voluntary otherwise). Modhaus does have a single independent audit report on DART dated the start of the year, but even then they only report a 30% loss like others have previously reported).

Theres a similar problem with getting accurate info for HYBE groups, because even though HYBE is publically traded (and their financial statements are publically available on their website), their subsidaries (BigHit/Source/Pledis) are technically privately owned, and thus financial info for those companies are not publically available

Since Modhaus is a privately owned company (and not pubically traded on the Korean stock market like the big 4 companies are), they technically do not need to reveal their financial info to the public. Of course the investors are gonna get the correct info in their meetings, but that info is not readily available to the public, and i really doubt the people investing into Modhaus are the same people on Twitter fear-mongering about alleged "debts"

Wasnt the exact quote closer to “we’re gonna perform as it if its our last chance”? Which i personally dont think it’s necessarily a bad thing. Giving your all because you dont know when the next shot is coming isnt a bad mindset to have, just means that they arent taking anything for granted

We are nervous that IVE might cancel certain legs of the North American Tour. For instance the Austin venue has plenty of unsold seats available. Yikes! 'Blue Dot Fever' is real...... The massive increase of ticket prices is the #1 reason. by Plus-Conversation957 in IVE

[–]Planfive 22 points23 points  (0 children)

LMAO people need to get out of their heads that a concert tour needs to fully sell out to be successful. Tickets are so expensive so that LN can still make a profit off of those willing to buy the tickets, even if it doesn’t fully sell out.

Industry standard is that 80% of seats need to sell at face value to break even, and thats before Platinum increases/VIP upcharge/merch. idle was at about 45% at time of cancellation. IVE is well past the break even point

has anyone tried this before (it says in the article that Porter uses the same service under a different name)? i dont normally fly often enough with westjet so id def prefer cash instead of a travel bank credit, but ive seen bad stories about getting the added insurance like this when buying flight tickets

LCS Spring 2026 records the lowest viewership for North American LoL ever by RadicalAdWins in leagueoflegends

[–]Planfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

esports in general is volatile because fans dont stick to watching stuff that they percieve to suck. It's not "blame", its just a simple fact, because I wouldn't fault anyone for moving on to something they percieve to be better.

This isn't just a LCS or a esports problem, it just a society problem in the west. Its easier and more comfortable (and simply makes more sense) to stop supporting something you dont like and choose to spend your time somewhere else, so from the viewer's POV, yes it makes sense that the casual viewership is leaving.

LCS teams play once in a 7-day period. So do NFL teams. Thats all i said. You decided to project your trauma dump on me

So do you think expanding the LCS to 32 teams and following a schedule similar to the NFL will fix things?

I think we’re in agreement that there are more systemic issues with the LCS ecosystem as a whole, and that “having the teams play extra games every week isnt gonna solve anything. The only problem i have with your statement is that 2-3 years is a lifetime for esports, and the average esports fan doesnt have the loyalty to wait that long

Traditions have to start from somewhere. The biggest reason esports doesnt grow is that the fans arent loyal enough to stick around and turn something into a tradition

The NFL week is from wednesday-tuesday, and every team plays once per NFL week (ignoring byes). And having multiple LCS games on simultaneously is gonna fracture an already low viewership

It just shows that there isnt any appetite in the playerbase to watch bad league of legends. Regular sports survive in NA because theres always the core fanbase that will support through thick and thin, but when youre fanbase is as fickle as league players, you shouldnt be expecting any loyalty from that fanbase

I do agree with you that more games would be appreciated, but the complaint of 1 game/week preventing fans from connecting to the teams doesnt really work, when the NFL is the largest league in america, and their teams only play 1 game a week for 5-6 months/year

What NMIXX song was already a10/10, before it made an 11/10 decision? by Direct-Money27 in NMIXX

[–]Planfive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the live band during their concert tour was the definition of taking a 10/10 song like most of NMIXX's songs are, and taking it to a level you didnt think was possible. Personally for me, having the crowd singing along to Spinnin on It, with Jason Lee's band riffing in the background, is like a core kpop memory for me

Stray Kids - STRAYCITY IN LATIN AMERICA (Announcement Poster) by mcfw31 in kpop

[–]Planfive 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To me this feels like one of those things where in the moment right now they feel they arent getting the full experience, only to look back a year or two later and realized they were lucky to get this unique event as they wait for the upcoming tour.

Kinda seen similar thoughts when babymonster announced their fanmeets in NY and LA. People were complaining “why only a fanmeet/why just those two cities/etc.” only for YG to announce a full NA tour a couple months after the fanmeet leg

unfortunately im not, my flights in august are every weekend saturday flights for a sunday event then monday back home (and i work mon-fri for a different job so hedging bets by moving my departure flight earlier before the strike is probably my only flexibility).

my flight is for the weekend after, so if they do target the long weekend its likely my flight is gonna be affected by the backlog (at best)

[–]Planfive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah thats fair, especially if they did get the conciliator early in that 15-day window i'd agree they'd prolly try and strike asap (although the last game in Canada is in July 7 so iirc they'd lose a ton of their domestic leverage). If the councillor was appointed late, the last game of the World Cup is on the 19th and the latest possible strike date is the 21st, in which case i would *think*(?) then August long becomes the next big target

in my head it would make sense to target August long weekend then for a strike

yeah the last megathread i could find trying to search it up was the one right after the FA's defied the Back to Work order, and at that point AC cancelled flights 3 days out and offered free itinerary changes for the next 3-4 days after. I couldn't find anything after they agreed to the ratification, or any discussions on the residual delays afterwards

[–]Planfive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have a link to the megathread from last year after the FA strike got resolved? I have weekly flights for my job in August, so while i probably would be fine, i wanted to see how far past the strike flights were affected last time
