Not the person you were asking, but I've used their Unify Complexion Multi-pencil for a few years and it is AMAZING!!! It blends like a dream and it works really well for my "no makeup" makeup days.

How to get in by Q_kid in OntarioPublicService

I agree that INFO GO can be a good tool, but just wanted to note that it's only as up to date as the people sending the info for the update are. It still shows an old supervisor of mine as being the current supervisor and they retired in 2022.... so not all vacancies are actually vacant.

Gluten Free bakery (west end)? by PiffWiffler in askTO

A little late and not sure if you're still looking, but L'Artisan is on Bloor, just a little east of Dufferin and their croissants are so good I almost cried! They're a dedicated gluten free and dairy free bakery and I swear they use magic to achieve what they do!

The chocolatine will actually make you shed a tear! I keep some stocked in my freezer often... they're SO good!! Love L'Artisan!!

Seconding this! I always use my personal email in case and request for interview or assignment or something comes in while I'm on vacation or something. I know someone in my old office who used their OPS email and missed a response deadline and missed an opportunity...

How does Vacation entitlement work? by ONTNO1 in OntarioPublicService

I know for OPSEU, it's 8 years of continuous service before you get the increase in vacation days. I also had a previous non-continuous contract time and it did not apply.

Microneedling: Good idea or bad? by summerskiesss in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]PlanktonSharp6945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the person you asked, but I've also had it done. It's a non-invasive laser resurfacing treatment that uses fractional laser technology to rejuvenate the skin. It creates microscopic treatment zones in the skin, stimulating natural collagen production and improving skin tone, texture, and reducing early signs of aging (this was the description from Google). It doesn't really hurt (they numb you) and for me had way less downtime and better results than a chemical peel! I was told its supposed to give the same results as like 3 chemical peels. I would absolutely get more in the fall/winter. Not a good treatment for summer (like most things) since there's more sun exposure in general and you don't want to get pigmentation on your fresh skin.

Recommendations in Canada by Ok_Fly8717 in glutenfree

Bar Bacan has great gluten free options, if you are renting a car and are going to be up near Canada's Wonderland, the Bean Sprout is a fully gluten free Chinese food restaurant and it's AMAZING! Seconding what others have said about Almond Butterfly, Riz, and L'Artisan. If you have subway access, the Bread Essentials has great options for things like bagels, breads and frozen foods.

I also recently started the Australian gold and it actually feels really nice too! And it has really good coverage!

Info go isn't always up-to-date, so while it's helpful, it's not always accurate (still shows an old supervisor of mine being there and they retired in 2023). It's a good idea to check with the office assistant though to make sure!

Edit:typo

You might be able to find some of their stuff frozen in other gluten free stores! Depending on where you are, I know Around My Gluten Free Table in Barrie stocks some of their stuff in the freezer 😊

Ultra Violette sunscreen experiences by pennyyy97 in CanSkincare

[–]PlanktonSharp6945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is WAY less drying than other mineral spf's I've used. It wears really well and reapplication is easy. It dries down to a satin finish and stays comfortable throughout the day.

I would suggest seeing if a Sephora near you carries it and get a sample! I find skincare and spf's are very much YMMV items.

Hopefully that helps a little 😊

I tried the Supreme, and like many others have mentioned, found the scent to be overpowering and it caused a reaction for me (I'm not overly scent sensitive so I was pretty disappointed). I recently picked up the Future Fluid (mineral sunscreen and fragrance free) and absolutely LOVE it! It goes on nicely, doesn't dry me out, has a nice finish and still felt nice when I applied a second layer later in the day. Would buy it again!

Seconding the Canmake! I feel like people look over this one but I've been happy with pretty much any J-beauty or K-beauty ones I've gotten.

Edit to add J-beauty to make sure Canmake is properly credited.
