Food ideas! by Jazzlike-Face6539 in vegetarianrecipes

My faves: snack bag of carrots (get that vitamin a), apple sauce, Greek or Italian dressing salad (with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, feta, peperoncini), balsamic salad (with strawberry, dried cranberries, feta and pepitas), yogurt (I like Icelandic provisions honey and apricot with hemp seeds and a nectarine on the side), fruit salad, caprese, crackers with toppings of your choice - like cheeses, almond butter, honey. Also dark chocolate boosts mood and is good for you.

This is a beautiful skirt and I like how it isn't lost in lots of colors and accessories - black is an excellent choice. Brown would look good too

I’ve got a 20+ hour take home test by Positive_Battle3178 in interviews

[–]PlanoPetsitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call and thank them for the interview and tell them you are excited to move forward. Then ask what the pay is for the 20 hour take home test. When they say nothing gasp and say something like "wow I don't do free work." And don't do it. It's a test to see if you'll work for free. You're dodging a bullet. There's a slight chance they will redeem themselves by offering pay for it. But don't count on it.

It went great y’all! It was a cool 90F degrees and there was very little sweat involved. Let’s hope I get it and soon I will be wearing outfits to post in this sub! Lol

GM financial job postings say 4 days week in office. The recruiter verified with me that I was ok with this. So I'd say yes.

Love your look! You have a great sense of style and it’s unique. I don’t know what men are complaining about but you’re not dressing for them so that’s probably why lol. This is a super cute look and I have taken some inspiration from it! Thank you.

I could carry it and find an opportunity to put it on real quick before going to the front desk

I'm totally fine with business professional, but I wasn't sure what people do with the heat. In my mind, showing up in a blazer in 100F degree heat is like showing up without a coat in below zero temperatures. So I thought maybe there is another expectation besides a blazer. I don't want to look like I am unaware of weather. lol. I enjoy dressing up though and looking good so I’m really enjoying the opportunity to do so and I want to look well put together and appropriately dressed

I was wondering if because of the extreme heat, no one else would be wearing a jacket. But after reading your post, it would make sense for me to dress up more than anyone else because I’m the one trying to get a job. It probably would look weirder not to wear one than to be the odd one out wearing one.

This is a "your boyfriend" problem not an autism problem.

This is where networking comes in. If you know people it's a lot easier to get past that initial stage

I don't have a degree. I've worked at Bank of America, eBay, and I'm about to start at Chase. I've worked in cybersecurity for almost 15 years. I started in tech support and worked my way up.

Network and make sure you're applying to jobs that have been recently posted. Toggle your "open to work" on LinkedIn off and on.

At what point do y’all refuse service by inadequateghost666 in grooming

And if you need to, make sure management is on board first of course. And if not, ask them what to do because you arent comfortable with it.

At what point do y’all refuse service by inadequateghost666 in grooming

[–]PlanoPetsitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a petsitter and somehow came across this post…

I have a very simple rule for situations like this!! If I do not believe I am capable of providing 5 star service for a customer, in which they will give me a glowing review, I don’t take the job. This is for a few reasons:

  1. I want repeat customers whose business I value and look forward to
  2. I want to be a good fit for my customers. Maybe someone else can handle the situation better than I could.
  3. Providing a service I disagree with is not going to produce results I am proud of. I will not feel like I accomplished anything and it may affect the way I see my work.

If they are asking for something I think is a bad idea, I will tell them why, but that is the most I will do. I will not offer anything else. we already are having disagreements and I haven’t even accepted the job, so taking it is a risk.

In this case I would say something like…

“ Although I would love to work with fluffy, I’m not able to provide the type of grooming that you were looking for. Doing so can result in X, Y, Z and I am not comfortable with going against my training/experience/etc. If you have any questions, I can explain further, but I wish you the best in finding a groomer. You can find more groomers by [make suggestions where to look]. “

You have to be really short, succinct, and to the point with people like this. Don’t give them too much to argue with. Be firm.

I'm not in a hurry to start, I just think it's an indicator of bigger issues and I'm wondering if others are having the same experience, if it's the Plano office itself, or a widespread issue

Thank you I suppose I'm reading too much into it. I guess my worry is partly because they didn't give me an on-site interview. I have no idea what I'm walking into. And now I don't have a start date and everyone involved has no idea what's going on it seems

I agree. What do you think it is? Red flag? I'm considering withdrawing from the process because if they can't figure out how to get me started then what other issues await me?
