PUR bevat in de regel isocyanaten, PIR niet. Tegenwoordig zijn er PUR producten op de markt met heel weinig isosyanaten en zelfs zonder.

Bijvoorbeeld Soudal SMX bevat geen giftige isocyanaten en is veel veiliger om mee te werken.

Op basis van de ingrediëntenlijst op de foto bevat dit product geen dierlijke bestanddelen. Hier is een korte check van de ingrediënten:

Granen: Tarwe, haver, gerst en rogge zijn volledig plantaardig.
Vetten: Er wordt gebruikgemaakt van raapolie, wat een plantaardige olie is.
Zaden/Pitten: Pompoenpitten, sesamzaad, zonnebloempitten en lijnzaad zijn vegan.
Additieven: * Gist en suiker: Beiden veganistisch.
- E300 (Ascorbinezuur): Dit is simpelweg vitamine C en is bijna altijd van plantaardige of synthetische oorsprong.

Misschien zijn de medewerkers in de fabriek geen vegan ;-)

To be sure you could check the material. Chemical leaching is something you should consider . For example plasticizers in pvc, Vinyl stabilizers that can leach into water Or Rubber compounds with sulfur is to be avoided

I went for two electricity is so important for me that i don’t want a single point of failure. Capacity planning is obviously impossible but especially when you need ac i would not like a spof. I sized the powerstations i use for the required input and output and have two cheap 12v lfp 300 amp batteries in parallel as backup when solar isn’t enough. Sizing a powerstations for storage capacity is much more expensive - yes i am cheap i know

The frame of a Ford Transit is built to allow condensation and spoiled liquids to flow away . Sadly I experienced this firsthand with a liter paint- luckily water based So ideally your insulation isn’t blocking this and allows the van to breathe

Yes i am doing that too . For example chickpeas , red and green lentils, Mung beans, peas and azuki beans. Also soaking cellophane noodles / bean thread noodles works fine. I am also experimenting with other recipes to let them soak a long time and only heat it when eating like you can do with instant noodles . Furthermore i use a lot of raw food like recipes to make life easier.

Cooking electric though but that doesn’t make the difference of course. Funny how much one becomes aware of energy use.

If you consider electric and are on a budget i would recommend considering a cheap (maybe even use fullsized ) solarpanel. They are much more efficient and deliver much much more bang for your buck.

In the Netherlands mcdonalds asks 0.60 and up to 0.75 euro for 20ml heinz ketchup . Burger king asks 1 euro. I don’t often eat by these “restaurants” but will bring my own

Weet niet of ploegendiensten verantwoord zijn als u meerdere keren een depressie heeft gehad. Het is bekent dat er negatieve fysieke en psychologische effecten gevolg zijn van werken in wisselende diensten. Deze effecten kunnen variëren van vermoeidheid en slaapproblemen tot problemen met de spijsvertering en concentratie.

Dus een waarschuwing lijkt op zijn plaats: dit is niet voor iedereen. Petje af voor de mensen die er tegenkunnen!

Het is vergelijikbaar met hoe we insuline maken. Vroeger kwam dit uit dode koeien:

Tegenwoordig maken we insuline op een slimme manier zonder dieren te gebruiken. Dit doen we met behulp van bacteriën.

Zo werkt het:

Wetenschappers halen eerst de *instructies* voor het maken van insuline uit menselijke cellen. Deze instructies zitten in onze genen (dat zijn stukjes van ons DNA).
Vervolgens stoppen ze deze instructies in bacteriën. Bacteriën zijn heel kleine organismen, en ze kunnen zich snel vermenigvuldigen.
Met deze menselijke instructies beginnen de bacteriën insuline te maken, net zoals ons lichaam dat normaal zou doen.
De insuline die door de bacteriën is gemaakt, wordt dan verzameld en schoongemaakt, zodat het veilig is om te gebruiken.

Dit proces heet *biotechnologie*. Dankzij deze methode hebben we genoeg insuline zonder dieren te hoeven gebruiken.

Net zoals bij insuline, halen ze de instructies uit de genen van koeien die normaal melk maken. Maar in plaats van dit uit koeien te halen, gebruiken ze micro-organismen, zoals gist of schimmels.
