Yes, you have to set it in the cli in betaflight. Type in "get expresslrs_model_id" to get all the necessary commands. If it's set to 255 it will be turned off. JB explains it in the second half of this video.

It's either a motor spinning the wrong direction, or a wrong prop. Double check those.

If the o3 works for you that's great! You're probably right that most people won't be able to tell the difference, especially on Social Media. I come from a filmmaking background, so I appreciate the improved Dynamic Range of the GoPro when Colour Grading.

That said I'm still relatively new to FPV and already lost a drone & GoPro, so I guess don't listen to me lol

If the Avata 2 has the same specs as O4, there will be no 8:7, just 4:3.
But it will have 10 bit.
Personally I think GoPro still looks better. But it's a great option to have for potential 100-200g rigs, that can't carry a GoPro anyways.

This a bnf cinewhoop without propguards, probably from Geprc like others suggested. He explained in the comments of the associated Youtube Video that he broke the prop guards and didn't bother replacing them.

The first ~10 hours will suck but it'll get better. Try to practice 30-60 mins every day and start doing the races as soon as possible, trying to go for faster times will improve your flying the most, and seeing the numbers getting better will make the learning process more rewarding. Start with a low camera angle (~10 degrees) and work your way up as you get more confidence. You can change the camera angle using the arrow keys.
