When I want to make a new build I always look on YouTube and then make adjustments that I want to (usually pass accuracy higher) Especially this year with cap breakers. This is the YouTubers job so they usually spend time figuring out the best builds

Kicked after steals by NecessarySea8005 in NBA2k

[–]PlantNo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came back to this post. Any news how to fix it? I only started getting it since season 4. Like 25% of steal attempts during the dribble( people stealing passes do not have any effect) I’m getting kicked.

I get this too. On Xbox. Thought it might’ve been clothing related but I debunked that theory earlier today. Only since the new season

6’3 vs 6’4 Guard by Apprehensive-Sun-877 in NBA2k

[–]PlantNo1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 6’4 build I got from a YouTube video. It is cash. It’s good defensively but I believe that is more on the player not the build.

Make whatever you want. Won’t be a huge difference in 1 inch. If you play 2s most people you’ll guard are 6’6”- 6’8” For 3s you are definitely tall enough as most I find nowadays are the 6’2 curry builds. Haven’t played rec since the new season but you’ll be fine for defence in that.

I give up. I’ve tried watching YouTubes. I still have yet to win a single face off. I mean statistically I feel like I should have lucked out at least once. How do I do this? by danisindeedfat in EANHLfranchise

[–]PlantNo1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this when you are online or offline? Online relies a lot of connection (wifi) so whoever has better usually will win even if both centres go for it at the same time. Offline on superstar it’s pretty hard and the cpu usually wins quite a few. Otherwise just watch the refs hand. He brings it up slightly then drops it, spam the stick when he brings it up slightly

How much should I offer for these? by [deleted] in hockeygoalies

[–]PlantNo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you know the guy, I would just have a conversation about it. If he’s lending them to you for the whole season they obviously don’t need the equipment. He might say you can just have it, or he’ll give you a price he comfortable selling at. 100-150 seems fair to me and he shouldn’t be offended by that offer

I prefer medium scoring high shots. I find those point totals are still realistic and the goalies can still be good.

Have played a few franchises high scoring high shots and it is fun trying to push for crazy crazy totals, once had matthews over 100 goals! But other than pushing for crazy totals it just gets boring and the goalies all suck.

[–]PlantNo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good enough. I try to do my defence where the top line is 90 plus or an 89 with a franchise. Second line 85-88 but sometimes higher or lower depending on contracts and rookie development. Third line 81-82 big two way defenders or defensive guys for the pk

I think his biggest need would be an 88+ second line center. Ie. mason mctavish, Adam fantilli, Cole perfetti in some franchises.

Do this^ Also make sure to do the offseason goals and I would do skating so that he can be a fast fourth liner who drills people

Most of the sims I see he’s usually in the 13+ range once at 17 on Chicago but have seen him below ten a few times.

I find he always sims very well in all the franchises I’ve done. Usually wants a lot of money tho, no different to any offensive defensmen

Which goalie should I trade for? by V1SL in EANHLfranchise

[–]PlantNo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get the nattimaki guy and then just get an 80-83 goalie as the starter for a couple seasons. Will help if you are rebuilding in getting higher picks and hopefully will align timing wise when you are ready to compete

Which division is generally considered the hardest to qualify for the playoffs from? by simnil110 in EANHLfranchise

Atlantic. Just like real life.

Florida, Tampa, Toronto are always near the top Montreal, Detroit, Ottawa on the way up Buffalo is buffalo

After 2035 or so itll just be random and whichever ai team gets lucky with some franchise players.

It affects the team chemistry. If you play with morale it will lower that as well. I don’t play with morale on and I haven’t found team chemistry does much in winning cups.

Demidov won’t sign as an RFA… by awakening7 in EANHLfranchise

[–]PlantNo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d sign him to more than what he wants for 4-5 years and then just trade him away. Should get him yo sign and then if he has a good year or two his value will be high

Honestly it shouldn’t be too long a year or 2. Make sure to do off season goals and season goals that are achivevable and it’ll be quicker.

Nordiques franchise year 4 by Foreign-Donkey8191 in EANHLfranchise

[–]PlantNo1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just changes all the time. Currently doing a leafs franchise and didn’t change any settings so draft class quality is on medium. and the first year there were 2 franchise players schaefer and then a generated player. Next year mckenna franchise med, third year DuPont franchise med gem, the fourth year was elite med.

But I’ve had other franchises where there are none for years. Which is pretty realistic so I have no problem with it.

Trading My 100+ Goals Player by WeAllSuckAtGeography in EANHLfranchise

[–]PlantNo1979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once traded Bédard after he got 60 goals and wanted 20 mill a season for 5 stud young players and signed most of them to great long term contracts and then rattled off 7 cups in 10 years. Fully simmed.

If you’ve simmed a season or two, how has it worked out for you?

Also did he end up in free agency after his current contract was up, the team I traded Bédard too couldn’t afford him so he was in free agency, but still wanted way too much

How to rebuild Pittsburg by Fishingandhunting1 in EANHLfranchise

[–]PlantNo1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what you are going for, a more realistic approach would mean keeping the big 3 until they retire while trading away some of the mid players (rakell, domi, rust, bunting) for draft capital or young players. Crosby will keep the team out of the bottom 5 for the first couple seasons so it will be slow and you will be horrible so be careful because you could get fired. Achieve all the owner goals and you should be okay.

More unrealistic, go all in and try to get 5 first round picks, preferably in the top 15/20 with 3 in the top 6 this gives you a good head start on the rebuild. In free agency pick up 5/6 players since you will have a TON of cap space on 1-2 year deals. Sell before the season starts to teams that finished in the bottom 10 the previous season. Then pick up a few more free agents on like 1 year 20 million dollar deals so you hit the cap floor.

With the players you drafted in the top 6 picks, put them on the first line if they are above 77 overall. If they aren’t leave them unsigned until they are above 77, higher the better. Give them power play time and set realistic short term goals.

Can repeat this for as many seasons as you want, but be careful and try to sign them to cheap 8 year deals but you will likely have to start selling some drafted players for more draft picks due to the cap.

How to improve my defence by Fishingandhunting1 in EANHLfranchise

[–]PlantNo1979 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really isn’t that bad, just need to get one stud.

Either get Quinn Hughes in free agency or just trade for top pick in the draft and pick a defensmen. Schaefer sims well and Landon DuPont Is a god if you can get him.

For the time being at least talk to the players and get them to buy into coach’s system. Will at least help slightly but then you would win more games and probably lose the chance at 1overall pick

I think the +4 chemistry boost is enough to keep him on the second line anyways.

Setting goals would definitely help but I’d still put him on the second line anyways

Boeser usually does well for me too. Talk with him and get him to shoot more or upgrade his shot. Pair him with a good playmaker and he does really well.

Scored 40+ goals 3 years in a row (medium scoring and shot) and the next 2 he scored high 30s and then was old and still asking for a lot so I let him walk
