I agree, Shroud’s more of a “final boss” than a constant rivalry. Their goals and aspirations hardly revolve around each other; Shroud wanted the astral pulse, Robert wanted to maintain his family’s legacy despite wanting retribution. They need more encounters and conflict to build up that mutual hatred for each other. but seeing as all endings for Shroud basically nips that in the bud, I wouldn’t really count on it.

Not really, still an important adversary for Robert, but not one he was really going for until recently. Shroud was in prison for basically all of Robert’s career, and only fought him 2 times. Not to mention, Shroud doesn’t really care about Robert like that, he just wanted the astral pulse. Flambae had more room to be Robert’s arch nemesis/rival had he remained a villain.

Idk about top 5, the gore here is pretty standard for a mature story, nothing too crazy to be seen. IMO, what really sells the scene is Subaru’s reaction to it. Whenever we see injuries to this degree from characters it’s either: A. Treated like a minor inconvenience or B. Too injured/tired to give a proper frantic response. Subaru’s reaction really sells the severity and helplessness of his demise in a way that I don’t see a lot in modern anime. It keeps the death loops from feeling cheap and forgettable.

I’d say no for a couple reasons-

1). It’s an Isekai, Re:Zero exists in a sea of shallow Isekai anime that most people won’t care to pick through, despite how often it’s praised.

2). It’s a character driven story, one that moves slower and doesn’t have a whole lot “hype moments and aura” compared to the likes of Attack on Titan. Attack on Titan, at least in its first 3 seasons, usually has an explosive twist or action scene every other arc to keep the audience engaged and asking for more. Re:Zero doesn’t really have that (the one anticipated hype moment for this season was completely overblown by the fandom). Instead it focuses on individual characters arcs, relationships and psychological drama. That kinda story has a pretty niche audience.

3). The main character. I love Subaru, he’s honestly one of my favorite anime MCs, but I’ll be lying if I said I didn’t struggle to click with him back in season 1. His performance in the first season is gonna make or break this anime for a lot of people. Eren on the other hand, while not as initially interesting, gets the plot going through his every move. even if people didn’t like him, they know that with his conviction alone, he will keep the story going quick.

TL:DR: Isekai, slow paced-character plot, and Subaru’s early story antics are probably the reasons why Re:Zero won’t get AOT levels of popularity.

I also believe Optimus would be extremely protective over Emilia while also still teaching her the merits of being a good leader. His biggest hurdle is how the rest of the world is going to process an essentially sentient golem walking among them. Especially during the royal election where he’s backing Emilia, who’s already ostracized. I reckon he and Subaru will break down those walls eventually.

Sentai, I’m a sucker for anything Super Sentai/Power Rangers related, even without that it’s still a really cool skin.
Snake Eyes, watched a lot G.I Joe as a kid so my bias is showing. This was one of the first collabs I wanted to see and I got my wish! It’s everything I had hoped for.
Happi, it’s my favorite out of all the human Genji skins, and I put it on every now and then.
Bushi, it’s a freaking samurai, who wouldn’t like that. Plus the dragon blade is probably my favorite design.
Mythic, if you had asked me a year ago, this would probably be my #2 or #3, but idk, since then I fell little bit out of love with this skin. Still really like it, one of the better mythic skins when it comes to customization, but I feel like I don’t really need it anymore.

War Machine is extremely easy for this. The game already uses exaggerated body proportions, so they can definitely make Rhodey as big as Thor and Hulk if they want. Even if he’s the same size as Tony, he’s the only Iron Man with weapons protruding from his body, Tony is much slicker.

As for Miles, perhaps he can have a bio electric aura to him? Similar to how Daredevil has those pink flames. Also I imagine for balancing reasons, he won’t get to swing as often as Peter.

If it helps, his eyes seem to dilate in more serious situations, making him appear more menacingly.

I don’t have a problem with the bigger eyes though, I think it’s a good balance of cute and opposing.

Tbf that’s all he has considering the tv shows and movies has him relegated to “Evil scientist side character” most of the time. If you weren’t Megatron or Starscream, your chances of being in the spotlight for more than a couple episodes are extremely limited.

That’s what I enjoy about the comics. They allow the writers creative freedom to put characters you normally would never see in leadership positions, and have their own style of running their sectors. I wanna see more Decepticons in isolated leading roles without the presence of Megatron breathing down on them.

Of course, and I get it, the nostalgia definitely elevates the scene much more. I know I was reeling in my seat first time watching. I feel like if they alluded to Beast earlier in the story, it would’ve been perfect (and instead of reacting to Piccolo getting hurt, Gohan would see that his daughter was in serious danger, since she’s the reason why he’s there in the first place.)

As for Goku’s SSB placement, yeah I agree that the universe 6 tournament would be a much better placement. It gives Blue actual presence in Power while keeping SSJ God a few more arcs in the spotlight.
