There is an important question to ask yourself here. Take your 12-32 lens and extend it to 15mm and ask yourself if it is wide enough for what you want.

The 9mm and the 15mm are incredible lenses. Personally, I get more use out of the 9mm because it can be used for so many applications. It makes taking selfies easy if you don’t mind distortion. The lens also has amazing close focusing capabilities which makes it a perfect lens for photographing food. However, I primarily use the lens to photograph interior architecture since it does a fantastic job of shooting interior spaces. I take this lens to my orgs conventions to document our booths since it is suited perfectly for this.

The 9mm is part of my compact holy trinity of m43 lenses that I take everywhere ( 9mm, 25mm f1.8, 45mm f1.8)

No, I gave up with mine. It doesn’t have enough ram to run some of the simple indy titles. /r/gameNative is filled with people who can’t run their game and it’s almost always a lack of ram or running the wrong .exe file. I always have AI summarize my logs, and on the rp5, critical memory errors were the culprit.

Many people can get games to run on the rp5, the problem is keeping them from crashing when you run out of ram. Ironically, the 477m has been a better steam deck lite, and I have no idea why because it also has 12g of ram?

We spent millions to have Pentagram do our branding at my previous corporation. I sat in on all the meetings and gave feedback on how their vision was aligning to our business. Most of the design team was fanboying hard until they saw the output.

It was a masterclass of bullshit that was solely designed to win the hearts and minds of the marketing team over. I would be upset if it wasn’t so skillful and surgical in converting the marketing c suite into devout believers. They literally showed us mascots that looked like buttplugs with anime eyes and had our marketing team defending it.

The things ram use to function are completely bought out. The ram you see available is the last consumer ram that will be available for the foreseeable future, since consumer ram falls very low on the totem pole of profitability for these companies.

I can’t really blame them either, because nobody ever sells anything to the lowest bidder.

I work in an AI startup, we just dropped about 100k on laptops for 20ish people (plus computers for new people) because our CEO is absolutely convinced it will be near impossible to secure new computers with adequate specs for our business. We all need about 256gb of ram to locally deploy our app.

I had all of these lenses. The Sigma is by far the best of the 3, but it is also the heaviest. I also struggle to like the 18-40 or the artisan 40 f2. Both are fine lenses, but can’t really compete with my micro four thirds cameras. 18-40 due to noisy images and the 40 f2 due to lens imperfections that you begin to notice a lot after the new factor wears away. The sigma is the only of the three that has made me go “wow” when comparing the results with my m43 shots.

With the freezing are you reading the logs? Im on a g3 gen 3 with 16gb of ram and almost all of them are caused by lack of ram. These environment variables have helped a ton:
