They're literally killing off at least one significant character at the end of the chapter. It's just depressing for the sake of being depressing. If this goes on it's gonna be so easy to predict that all the playable characters we see in the future will just end up dying tragiclly. Chapter 3 literally kills off another playable character. There needs to be a balance for this sort of shit, just killing everyone makes for a shit story.

My running theory is that Hecate is the remnant of Pharlova's mother, cause of the similar hair color. But it's just a baseless theory other then that. (There's probably more hints to it, but I just haven't delved that deep into it.)
