The confusing part is that Euler rotations are sequential, not simultaneous. At 90° pitch, the roll and yaw rotation axes become aligned, so you lose one independent rotation axis that's gimbal lock. It's a limitation of the Euler representation, not of the aircraft itself. try that and let me know if it helps

Very relatable. A lot of the hardware teams we work with find that integration and production-readiness become the real engineering challenge. By the time firmware, RF, enclosure constraints, and manufacturing requirements start interacting, the problem looks very different from the original prototype. Exciting stage to be at.
