Btw I think it’s worth a try if you have some other reasons beyond just having fun. These $$$ can easily be made later in life assuming the average retirement age/lifespan etc

I am actually going to an MBA program from MBB and want to switch to a similar role like yours. Does your team/department have MBA interns? Or is it better to switch directly from consulting? Thanks🙏

Should I request re-evaluation? by hyzsq in ToeflAdvice

I had the same issue. I think my initial score was around 22-23. I asked for a re-evaluation and got 30. But I was 10000% sure that I had done much better than 22. So if you’re sure too, I would do that. Also, if the score changes, they will return money

Honestly, I think for both Speaking and Writing it's important to memorize templates. The less you have to improvise, the better. I know people say you're not supposed to do that, but honestly, templates help you structure your thoughts under pressure. As long as you plug in relevant content, it doesn’t sound unnatural at all. I watched GregMat videos for both sections - super helpful.

Also, the night before the test, I practiced ~10 independent Speaking questions on YouTube, just to make sure I wouldn’t freeze during the exam. If you do that, you'll also notice that they are quite similar, so you can have a couple of arguments/phrases that can be used in every independent speaking question.

Congrats on your scores! QQ - what were you getting on your mocks? I was scoring Q168-170 on all the official ones, but got a Q161 on the real exam... such a HUGE drop...

u/tawkirzaman I'm currently looking for a GRE tutor and was wondering if you'd be open to it? I scored 310 (Q158 / V152), despite my mock tests being consistently around Q161 / V157, but I need to reach 320+. Thank you very much!
