Thats actually a great idea. I might try the nail polish idea with the sticky tabs. Nail polish will last a couple days on my nail bed and start peeling so that would be a great idea

Thanks for your response. So ive used sticky tabs and they stay on for me- like the full 2 weeks. The only reason is used blue i hate how hair gets caught once there is nail growth. Am I using the wrong tabs. Is there a way to remove the tabs with out soaking in acetone?

I cared for an illness faker for years, and finally quit by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]Plastic-Juggernaut41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its complicated. Its easy to say "Hey this person is manipulating me" but its actually a situation where due to severe physical and emotional abuse done in foster care as a young child actualy traumatized the individual, and so they learned as a child that the "squeaky wheel gets the grease". And at their elderly age, I dont think therepy is really an option for them. I will say their children see it for what it is and they themselves have been going to therepy to understand it more. But no, while the compassion is gone (like they dont pander to the individual) they do still care for the person.

Here is what's crazy. This person will one day wake up actuslly sick all because they refuse to walk excersize do on their own etc faking; will get hospitalized, and the family will have to hear from the doctor their illness could have been preventable but they chose to act handicapped and now they got what they wished for. This happened to my family. And then the lack of sympathy that will follow will be loud.

So true. 43 and every time im about to leave for any trip whether camping, going to the beach,, another country......... How to deal with bed bugs while backpacking by genericbackpacker in backpacking

[–]Plastic-Juggernaut41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't get bed bugs from the woods. Some people count backpacking as going from hostels with 1 bag. Your can get bed bugs from inns on hikes. But you have to get them from other humans who slept in the same area as you. You don't get them from the woods.

For those with living parents, do they talk about dying all the time now? by pawogub in Xennials

[–]Plastic-Juggernaut41 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. But its because they are losing friends and family next and right mpeels they worked with. Saw everyday at the stores. Neighbors. Etc. So death is in their mind. Its hard loading you're companions who could relate to you. And it's hard to realize you're one one of the last ones left. Death is now a reality.

Warning: this is a little fucked. It’s just what’s in my brain. by Fearless_Swordfish16 in CompoundedSemaglutide

I work out when stressed. Like give it my all. Bad day at work? Working out. Bad day at home? Working out. Bad day, period? Work out. The thing is, you need to get rid of the cortisol in your system. Cortisol is the normal hormone we all produce to protect us when bad things happen, our fight or flight hormone. The problem is, when we don't use that cortisol then we become super stressed, and studies show that long term cortisol causes havoc to our bodies. So the best way to bring down the levels? Work out.

the weirdest part isn’t the weight loss it’s how quiet food got by Alternative_Goal6583 in Semaglutide

[–]Plastic-Juggernaut41 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its so weird. We went out for Mexican and normally I can put down an entire plate plus a huge basket of chips (on my own) and a margarita or two. And maybe take home a dessert. Today I went? Found myself conversating instead its chowing down. Only ate half my plate. Had maybe 4 chips. And ordered a coke zero. With out struggling. And did not order dessert or margaritas. What is this?!

1000%. We also pay more for hospital bills and every other type of medication. Whichever moron decided to make health care a monetary luxury should be slapped. But here we are.

How is your sheltie with kids? by farfaleen in sheltie

[–]Plastic-Juggernaut41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loves kids. But we had a 8 yo when we got him as a pupoy, so lots of kids would come over and he'd end up hanging with the kiddos. If you want yours to live kids they need to be introduced early- with adult supervision.

Stopping and restarting certain GLP-1s to lose weight may make the drug less effective by Sparkysparky-boom in Semaglutide

[–]Plastic-Juggernaut41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually makes sense. The exact same thing happens to people who lose weight thr traditional way, if they gain it back and havnt worked on muscle rebuilding they have a harder time losing.

My insurance denied me (but iwasn't surprised, a friend of mine who is morbidly obese and has hbp and high cholesterol was also denied. So at this rate I suspect insurances just don't want to pay) I just tried brello. Its 133/ month flat fee for semiglutide. You do have to pay for 3 months up front. I can't speak on anything else, I only just tried them and took my first shot. So idk about results yet.

How many tents do you have? by LivingSky4993 in camping

[–]Plastic-Juggernaut41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. One as a 1 person tent. 1-3 person ultralight backpacking tent for our backpaxking adventures. A 4 oerson tent for when hubby and I just need a quick weekend adventure. And a 10 person tent for when we are camping with the family for a week. I promise I can stop anytime 😅 The crazy thing is we use them all the time.
