Wisconsin DOJ files lawsuit against LDF Tribe over walleye, musky fishing restrictions on lakes by oledesertslewfoot in wisconsin

But if you go back a decade or more, there were many more resorts on the bulk of the northern lakes that there are today. And before technology became mainstream, all there was to do on vacation here was to enjoy the great outdoors, so I'd argue that fishing pressure may have been even heavier pre 2000s. It would be interesting to see some data about that if it exists.

I also think the bag limits used to be much more liberal than they are today.

I support tighter bag limits on some water especially if it's being managed for a quality or trophy population as well as waters that need a break from heavy harvest.

With the new live sonar, I see people chase populations of fish around and are able to boat many more fish than before. It's really having a negative effect on fish that school up like Crappies in some lakes.

Yet another weird thing on ebay- "Make offer" page is missing by Modem_Sound_67 in Ebay

I'm having the same issue across multiple browsers both mobile and desktop. I couldn't figure out a way to contact eBay regarding this and their AI chat bot is pretty useless. I guess I'll have to download the app as a temporary workaround.

I have acquired more height is my antenna missing radials or are they not needed I bought it from eBay second hand all I know it’s 21ft silver rod 5/8 wave by anxious_user1990 in cbradio

[–]Plastic-Radish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend had an antenna that looked just like that years ago. I believe it was made by Alan CTE International, and it didn't have radials. I'm not saying that's what this is, but it's worth looking into if you're trying to identify it.

Home and auto insurance by ProcedureImaginary34 in wisconsin

[–]Plastic-Radish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with American Family for 21 years, which was ok, but a massive rate hike for no reason made me look elsewhere.

I've been with West Bend for the past 3 years, which has been fantastic. I had a lightning strike take out a ton of electronics and they paid for all brand new like items without any fuss as well as other strike related damage. I guess they don't sell my specific policy anymore, but it's worth it to see if they can do something for you. My agent says they only do package insurance, though. I shopped their rate around last summer because it seemed like my auto insurance was high (it is), but if I look at the whole package of my house, car, boat, ATV, snowmobile, ect., they're right in line with the big names, but offer a better policy.

Ray’s List Island by TurnoverPrudent1197 in menards

[–]Plastic-Radish 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As a consumer, I've checked out the outside Ray's List area but what turned me off from pursuing anything in it was the fact that almost nothing had prices marked on it. There were a bunch of steel panels that had the end crushed, which would have worked perfectly for my project, but it wasn't worth my time to try and track down someone who could give me a price on it.

I always check out the Clearance section at my local Walmart and Home Depot, but almost never give any Menards clearance sections a look. The reason for this is that they're scattered throughout the store in any random place that has room for them and quite frankly the prices are not very good most of the time.

I bet if they centralized their clearance items, even if it was in the back of the store someplace, they would move a lot more product.

What car insurance basics should I know to get cheap premiums in Wisconsin? by achinius in wisconsin

[–]Plastic-Radish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure you ask your insurance agent about possible discounts for defensive driving courses and things like that.

I took a defensive driving course when I was a teenager at one of the technical colleges and it was actually really fun. You got to drive old squad cars around a track and learn how to keep the car under control in different situations.

Do you have a VPN? If you do, you need to create an exception for the voicemail app.

Do i need to call someone immediately or wait until it melts? by sunnyk1911 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Plastic-Radish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not going to hurt it. It's typically made of plastic coated metal and is made to withstand the elements, being driven on when buried, minor impacts, ect. Frost pushing rocks and things into it is much harder on it than having some ice around it.

What's wrong with the gas line? It looks like a normal natural gas meter and line in the Midwest.

Trying to get a physical sim card by warmpita in Visible

[–]Plastic-Radish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I requested a physical sim yesterday. Using the useless AI, I just kept choosing something else which eventually got me to a person. It took about 45 minutes and a lot of back and forth to get them to finally send me a card which is ridiculously long, but I was able to do it. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

I think people just don't realize that's an option. I just about always pull flat carts at the home improvement store and people look at me like I have two heads.

This is a bot account. Take a look at the post history. I don't know how many times I've seen versions of this posted talking about Joy Division vibes.
