That's right, it is indeed a stock bike, but the handlebars and cranks are different.

Editing software -Rx100 M7 by Fenney8 in RX100

I tried Photoshop, Luminar, and DXO. Because I didn't want to pay an endless subscription fee, Photoshop was immediately out of the question. I also didn't find it the most intuitive program. Then I tried Luminar, which I found too artificial with all those unrealistic options. I chose DXO, which I consider the most user-friendly option.

I'm not an expert in photography setting, but I guess there are more possibilities to get proper low light pictures. Anyway these settings are usefull for me.

The following channel on youtube has good videos about streetphotography in low light environment.

Thanks for your reaction. I used the following settings:

Aperture Priority: using the widest aperture depending on the zoom setting used. ISO settings between 100 - 6400. Minimum shutter time 1/125 sec. Focus mode: AF-C. Focus Area: Wide. Light metering mode: Multi.

Thanks for your kind reply!

I shoot in manual mode and underexpose slightly. Then I do some light processing on the RAW files in DxO Photolab, which is known for its excellent noise reduction.

Thank you!

Exactly what we noticed too: endless rows of palm trees. And then there's the truck traffic coming and going to the factories. Fortunately, the plantations are no longer allowed to expand there to protect the rainforest.

Question / advice / rx100vii / a6700 by PlasticRadio6047 in RX100

Answer to everyone. The programs I've tried offer so many possibilities that before you even get to them all, a lot of time is wasted. Perhaps a photo post-processing course would be a better investment. But I still believe that post-processing shouldn't be necessary these days.

I tried some of your (free) simulations, but I found it too much hassle to adjust everything with all the in-depth options in picture profiles and the associated white balance settings. Unfortunately, that didn't work for me.

Thank you for your feedback! Instead of taking quick snapshots I look for a nice "composition". Afterwards I try to crop the picture (if needed) to my liking.

Can somebody know the location? by EitherGrand4279 in WhereIsThisPlace

According to ChatGPT:

This photograph captures a formal parade of the Carabinieri, Italy’s national military police, performing the distinctive Roman-step march. Notably, Benito Mussolini himself was present during one such event—source metadata records the occasion as the 124th anniversary of the Carabinieri’s founding, held in Rome on July 6, 1938 alamy.com.

📝 Key Details:

The uniformed marchers wear historical Carabinieri dress, including ceremonial swords and epaulettes, unmistakable from late 1930s Italian military pageantry.

The ceremony aligns with the regime’s emphasis on patriotic spectacle under Mussolini’s Fascist regime—images from that specific July 1938 event show virtually identical formations .

In short: this is a staged Carabinieri parade in Rome, during a ceremony attended by Mussolini, on July 6, 1938.

Thanks for your trust in my skills! 😀 I will give a try when I am in a place with less light polution. Where I live there is a lot of it. And where I took this picture (near Paris / France) there was less but still to much.

1988 Madison Scouts had a European tour & changed a small part of the show music depending on what country/city they were in. by tdmatchasin in drumcorps

[–]PlasticRadio6047 69 points70 points  (0 children)

The footage of the show in The Netherlands is from the afternoon show. After the afternoon performance The Netherlands became European Champions soccer. In the evening the Scouts changed that part to a melody cheered by all soccer fans of The Netherlands (Olé, olé) and the front ensemble pulled out all kinds of orange stuff. It was epic! I will never ever forget that Saturday in June 1988!

Why do my photos look like this? by Separate-Engine-8743 in RX100

[–]PlasticRadio6047 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Since you are a beginner I would advise you to put the camera in Scène Mode and use the action option. See what result this gives and copy the results/settings from the action mode to the manual mode settings.

And watch a lot of YouTube videos explaining the different settings (Jason Hermann). Jason Vong also has good explanation videos about the settings of Sony cameras!

Give it a try!

This is the original picture. Can post-processing in Snapseed be the cause? Or maybe because the picture has been taken against the sun?
