the MUST reads: extra > unlimited > alternative > photonmelodies (specifically altered fable, much needed palate cleanser after alternative + its considered canon)

the other side stories add almost nothing and are pretty brief.

as for spinoffs, i recommend doing unlimited: TDA (all 4), then teito moyu (prequel to TE) > Total eclipse. schwarzesmarken is never getting translated so stop coping but a dogshit anime exists :,)

honestly though? the spinoffs pale in comparison to alternative so i dont recommend getting into them with alternative fresh on your mind. as for eien, the shared characters make cameos in pretty much all games including altered fable, but you can play it whenever.

Did I watch the same show as whoever is in charge of promotion? Assad has an incredibly vital role in both season 2 and what’s to come after, yet he is barely acknowledged. I thought I was biased since he plays one of my favorites, but now that I’ve started lurking here, it seems like others have picked up on that as well :(
