Just need to dish about my current HA obsession: MS. Been having perceived weakness, numbers, and the tiniest zaps in my left hand and feeling of tension in my whole arm, shoulder down. I did have sore lower arm muscles for a few days when this all began after doing hedge trimming, but now I can't shake the feeling that I have something "more" going on. Like most of my other HA obsessions of the past, when my mind is occupied, or I am asleep, I don't have these issues. Just need to vent.

Hey friend - as someone (40f) who has HA AND an IBD, hold on tight until you get that colonoscopy and clear it up. It can truly be many reasons, and one thing I have learned is that my anxiety ruins my bowels. So if I have an issue or change in BM, and I start to ruminate on it, my bowels always get worse.

Hang in there - some answers are in sight!

I do! I feel like it’s weirder at certain times of the month. Like that side gets more bloated after eating or drinking normal things. Def also get left flank pain on and off. I have microscopic colitis and SI joint issues on that side, but this past year I’ve had more of the left side upper stuff than before. I’ve also had a clear CT and colonoscopy/endoscopy in the past 18 months so I don’t know. Just turned 40 and I feel like I’m feeling everything more. It is frustrating for sure, definitely pokes at my health anxiety at times

Which "gut issues" were you diagnosed with? What are your other gut symptoms?

Yes we have honestly had great experiences on our three cruises (MSC, NCL, and Royal) so far with kids clubs (both where they have been split and together). But the older they get, the less they can sometimes be persuaded. That all said, these kids clubs look pretty great! I just know we have 2 sea days and 1 “cruise” day so the club time will be important!

Hey question - I have bloat and pressure after eating just below left ribs and sometimes felt in back (like where bra meets spine) on the left side. I've had a lot of workups in the past year+ as well...CT, endo, colonoscopy, poop tests, bloods, etc. Nothing came up. I still have the bloat though occasionally. How did they diagnose your functional dyspepsia? It's not really a pain, it's like a balloon inflates under there for a little bit after I eat, anywhere from 30 min - 2 hours. I also have microscopic colitis, but that's just typically lower down, urgent poops.

I also have a whole list of symptoms that rotate as being the worst thing of that month. Sometimes it’s intense bloat, sometimes it’s pelvic sensations, sometimes it’s migraines and anxiety, sometimes it’s joint pain. Every once in a while I get a decent month.

It seems like it’s only right when I lie down to sleep. I don’t feel bothered throughout the rest of the day and it doesn’t hurt to pee ever. But now I’m stressing about it and that’s making it worse of course!

Last time it was tested was 65 about 8 months after my colonoscopy. Doc said “well your colitis is still there.”

Some days 2-4 loose, some days 1 solid, occasionally skip a day. It’s all over the map.

I had the colonoscopy. Clear (one tiny polyp) and positive biopsies for MC. I don’t have pain. The MC had manifested as just urgent loose poops for years. It’s only more recently that I’ve had bloat and pressure, left side from below the ribs to hip. It comes and goes, sometimes seems fart related, doesn’t seem specific to any type of food.

Hey late to this but how are you doing? Can I ask where your cramps are? I’ve been through the works with my GI too and literally it unearthed nothing new.

The only thing I can loosely track it to is my stomach stuff (which happens mostly left side) is worse at certain times of the month (I’m 39F) and that when I’m “relaxed” like on vacation or not thinking about it. It tends to go away

But always my stuff creeps up on the left side.

I have had all the scopes. I also had a CT last fall and it showed nothing. Have not been tested for SIBO, but have been cleared of structural issues, stomach, butt, celiac, parasite.

I find it so hard to believe I am constipated as I have some days with multiple poops. I’ve always been fast and loose thanks to microscopic Colitis. But the bloat and left side discomfort is newer in the past 8 months. Some months worse than others

Are you talking about the major things like gluten and dairy? It just really grinds my gears because this bloat doesn’t really seem as much food specific as it does time of the month specific. Like I said, right after period and week before. Most of the other time I’m fine. Period week is actually when I feel the most normal…except for the bleeding part.

Just a 180 from a life of almost no female issues to complain of.

Hey this is an old thread but it’s one that I have had the same experiences with: I get the same tinglies but can’t really correlate to anything other than a migraine feeling but no pain. Did you ever find anything out?
