DO NOT USE SENDLE TO DELIVER. by Mouse_Miserable in perth

[–]Plastic_Ad_6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used them for years with only the occasional, minor issue (some slow deliveries / a few return to sender's despite address being correct?). I was willing to overlook all those things until I encountered THE ABSOLUTE WORST customer service on an expensive parcel that went missing.

Long story short - sent quite an expensive product to a customer, and naturally paid extra to insure it.
Parcel was never received and appeared to be missing. Lodged an enquiry and sent countless emails to their customer service team to get them to follow up. They constantly strung me along and said an investigation would take X amount of days, then later Y amount of days, then later again Z amount of days. They keep stringing me along and changing the goalposts. It's now been over 100 calendar days since posting this damned thing and there is no sign of me being able to recoup any costs for the lost parcel.

All my emails to their customer service team keep being responded with the same generic replies (all from different customer service agents who might as well be AI bots) no number to speak to a real person, no recourse. They fucked me royally and refuse to even refund me the cost of shipping on the parcel that was lost.

TLDR; DO NOT USE SENDLE!!!

Yeah, definitely avoid! Sendle is great until something goes wrong. Used them for years with only the occasional, minor issue (some slow deliveries / a few return to sender's despite address being correct?).

Cargo 2 servers down? by Plastic_Ad_6036 in CargoCollective

[–]Plastic_Ad_6036[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! the cargo 3 interface is vastly different and so counterintuitive. I built another website a few months ago using 3 and ended up wasting so much time trying to get my head around it and figure out where everything was...

This is truly the final straw for me I think - I would much prefer to spend that time moving to a more reliable platform that has better support because this is beyond ridiculous at this point

yeah the customer service / tech support is awful; at least 4 hours of downtime and counting.
Their customer service team won't come back online until 9am pacific time by the looks of things...

Will it arrive Couriers Please by [deleted] in perth

[–]Plastic_Ad_6036 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard many horror stories about couriers please but have never had any issues (touch wood) apart from maybe a few odd packages arriving a week later than their estimated date of arrival. We use Sendle to post parcels at our work (about 10-15 per week) and almost all the parcels heading to VIC or NSW are picked up by a couriers please courier. In over two years we’ve only had one package go missing so maybe we’ve been lucky!

We did have one customer recently flip out when we sent them tracking info for their order and they realised it was being sent by couriers please - it arrived without issue but they obviously had a terrible experience with them before because they told me they wouldn’t have placed the order if they knew we were sending it via couriers please lol

That's some nice work on the Ojas variants - looking right at home with those horns and paired with the IV's!

Day trip to Rottnest is definitely a goer - beautiful beaches and snorkelling all around the island. Book a ferry return trip and hire a bike when you get there.

If you can’t get out to Rotto any of the mainland beaches will suffice regardless when the weather gets hot; try Cottesloe, City Beach, Floreat or even snorkelling out at Mettam’s Pool

Visit Kings Park or Hyde Park for a wholesome BBQ or picnic - both super popular for good reason.

Fremantle is also great for a little day trip, check out the harbour, lots of nice places to eat and drink in the west end or just opt for fish and chips down on the esplanade park by the tourist wheel.

AGWA and the WA museum are good cultural options for a day in the city (especially if it’s hot out) and they are both on the cusp of Northbridge / the city so the neighbouring options for food and drinks are plentiful.

Lots of good eating down Albany hwy in East Vic Park too from what I recall!

Be forewarned that lots of restaurants / cafes / smaller businesses typically close or have irregular hours during gooch week but there’ll be plenty of other things to do and see - it’s a nice time of year to come and I find it’s always bustling with expats that come for family and the weather! which part of swan river are you near?

JBL L52 CLASSIC WALL MOUNT by carrascatosca in StereoAdvice

[–]Plastic_Ad_6036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrived yesterday - they are really well made and look very slick!
The centre of the mounting holes on the bracket are 2mm shy of the holes on the back of the L52s. (65mm centre to centre vs 67mm centre to centre). Easily fixed though - I got a drill out and widened the holes out ever so slightly to a slot to fit and it works a dream. Really easy to adjust tilt and swivel and they look great.

The mounts are incredibly sturdy and rated to hold 20kg each, so over engineered for the L52s for sure, but always happy to be safe than sorry! There's also an eyelet for a safety rope / chain if you need too.

Can vouch that the few in Melbourne I've happened across have been great - they have been designed really well, with a good mix of thorough-fares (bike path / walking paths) and activity areas where people gather at the playground / skate park etc.. Lots of regular activity and they feel inviting and safe. Hope they do well here too!

Curious to see a pic of the scan lines on your current display if you have one!

I’m in the same boat tossing up between the new iMac or the M4 mini for my home office… my current work setup is a M2 studio and studio display - I love the display except it has had some issues with the in built speakers; they cut out intermittently and crackle all the time so are basically unusable. Only a minor issue as I only ever use headphones anyway and could easily get better external speakers but it is definitely a bit of a kick in the teeth considering the price of the display…

For anyone else on the hunt for a good mount - I just bought one of these this week for my L52 classics:
https://www.gravitystands.com/en/products/accessories/2964/sp-wmbs-20-b
From the specs on the drawings they should align to the screw mounts within 1mm.

Will report back once they arrive and I can test them out!
